“This place is very warm and cozy. Loved the fireplace. Its darker inside for my liking. The food absolutely delicious with good portion sizes for the price. Unfortunately, you cannot order single slices for the pizza so I didn’t try it. The garlic knot was very different, but still good. We tried ordering dessert but were told kitchen was closed and only could get ice cream and it was still fairly early before closing time. Overall it was a good experience.“

You would think that with the poor water quality for which the North Fork is famous, that pizza would not be that good here, but that is incorrect. The pizza is better than the bagels are on the North Fork. Service was good too“

“Had the chance to visit Sam’s last week and happy to report it’s still the same classic, family friendly spot it always has been. The minute you walk in the doors, all the great memories come flooding back. Our food (four cheese pie with chicken and the linguine with locally caught seafood) was delish! Our server was lovely. I also got a vodka martini that was perfect. Looking forward to coming back later this summer!“

“This such a wonderful pizza place to have in a town filled with insanely expensive food. Not only was it very affordable it was also extremely delicious. The crust was crispy, the cheese was great quality, my pepperoni was tender and sliced so thin which was a first for me and I loved it, and the sauce was so tasty. Also the husband and wife behind the counter were so cheery and nice. It really felt like a family and they treated everyone who walked through the door so kindly. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town.“

“Me and my friend were craving pizza so we decided to hit up 1943 pizza. Right off the bat the atmosphere was really nice, it’s a cozy little place and you can see the people making the pizza in front of your own eyes which I thought was pretty marvelous. The first thing I ordered was olives, and when I tell you these olives were immaculate I mean it. PERFECT. Next we ordered a pizza and me and my friend were having a tough time picking out pizza so we asked our sever, whose name is James, to make whatever pizza that he thinks he thinks we like and holy mackerel. I think James got temporary pizza making powers God because that pizza was sensational. Overall the service was top tier. Katy the manager was so so nice and welcoming and Griffin, he’s just a great dude with great hair, and a hardworking dude at that. To sum it up my experience at 1943 transcends all other pizza places I’ve ever been to. Great staff great food and overall a great place. 10/10 would recommend.“

“I want to rate this 3 stars out of 5. The food is amazing but customer service not that great. My family was in from out of state and wanted to get take out and I instantly thought about this place. my fiance got the food and came home and my order was missing the cheese on the burger. So, I unfortunately couldn't eat with my family and neither did my fiance because he had to eat his food while driving 20 minutes back to get my food fixed at the restaurant and then 20 minutes back. However, I would still recommend you guys to other people. I would just suggest checking your order before leaving“

“The beef was amazing. Chicken could have a little more flavor but the green sauce came in to save the day. Potatoes packed with flavor. Plantains on point. Rice is wow. I even got a sausage pizza slice and that was good as well. Overall 9/10 .Customer service was great. The my plate all together felt like home cooking. I could feel the love.“

“The first time I tried the pretzel croissant I became addicted! All of their croissants are amazing... Their coffee is awesome too! So glad it opened in Southold. Lately, they've been making the pretzel croissants into egg sandwich which I'm sure is delicious too, but I prefer to ask for it alone :) Whoever is making these croissants, thank you Chef!!!!“
