“We had a great dinner at this restaurant. All the appetizers and salads were fresh and delicious. The pizza was crispy and perfect. Side note. I left my credit card at the restaurant. Owner called me to inform me and stayed late until I could go back and get it.“

“Lovely dinner with my family last night. Waitstaff could have came around to keep drinks full and make sure our needs were met. Food was delicious but someone needs to please clean that pizza oven. Burn bottom and crust was a bummer as everything else was very nice. Photo is my take home slices. All three pies were this way. Such a shame. My family came from MA.“

“It is a pizza store that looks like most others but the pizza is exceptional! I had a slice of Margherita and then ordered 2 more for home! Their menu is very extensive with Italian dishes. It is a big space for roomy dining.

You would think that with the poor water quality for which the North Fork is famous, that pizza would not be that good here, but that is incorrect. “Pellegrino‘s is some of the finest Italian food on the East End. It also is a cool place to hang out with a casual vibe with no pretense.. as a local realtor when people ask me, what’s a great restaurant in the north sea area Pellegrino is always the first to come to mind. Great food fantastic service a small, but vibrant bar area or what you’ll find here.
They make a great pizza.

“I want to rate this 3 stars out of 5. The food is amazing but customer service not that great. My family was in from out of state and wanted to get take out and I instantly thought about this place. my fiance got the food and came home and my order was missing the cheese on the burger. So, I unfortunately couldn't eat with my family and neither did my fiance because he had to eat his food while driving 20 minutes back to get my food fixed at the restaurant and then 20 minutes back. However, I would still recommend you guys to other people. I would just suggest checking your order before leaving“

“Great local spot that recently changed hands after 40 years owned by another local in the neighborhood. Riverhead is underrated and soon the neighborhood by the train station will be restored and meanwhile enjoy the 2 pizza and drink special during the week.“

“Born in New York and grew up in Huntington. This is my First time at Romas and visiting mom from Virginia, my son has never been to any authentic New York pizza joints. So when we tried Roma’s, he had the Sicilian and he told the owner “it’s the best pizza he ever ate”. Coincidentally the owner knows Tony from our local pizza place in Virginia. Real glad we got up for some real New York pizza before leaving to go home in little ol’ Virginia.“

“I stopped by Melrose last night at 10 PM, hoping to grab something last minute. It had already been a little bit of an adventure, my dogs had run away as I was leaving the house, so by the time I finally made it there, the place was already closed.
The owner was walking out when he saw me and recognized me. I apologized for missing closing, but instead of simply saying, “Sorry, we’re closed,” he was incredibly kind and actually invited me back inside and made something for me.
Now, maybe that sounds like a small thing, but to me, it wasn’t.
I work in restaurants, and I know exactly what it feels like at the end of a long shift, when you’re exhausted, you’ve been dealing with customers all day, and all you want to do is go home. And yet, this guy chose kindness and hospitality anyway.
That is what hospitality is supposed to be.
It’s not just about the food or the service. It’s about the human moment. It’s about making someone feel taken care of when you absolutely don’t have to.
That experience meant a lot to me.
Wow. Just wow.
That’s the kind of restaurant owner, hospitality, and genuine kindness I aspire to create myself.
