I was given a gift card to the Divine Bar in Sparkill for my birthday last summer. I called a couple of weeks later to make a reservation and was told they were temporarily closed for renovations but would reopen soon. When it reopened, it was called temporarily Cantina. I went in there with my gift card and was told that it was under new ownership but that the previous owner, Joe, still owned the wine store next door and would honor the gift card there. It was closed for the night. I finally got around to calling them to see if they would indeed honor the gift card and was told that although Joe is the same guy that issued the gift card and took my friends' money, they could not honor it because it was "a different corporation". I would like to give the owner, Joe, a chance to respond and make things right.

Every bottle in the shop has been curated by the owner and staff. Basically, you can't get a bad bottle. The ambiance is awesome with a faux vaulted wood ceiling as if you were inside a giant wine cask. Friendly staff and great vibe. Do go.

This place is an absolute gem. It is the platonic ideal of a local small business and I can't count the number of amazing (and fairly priced) bottles I've brought home from TGDV. Joe is the best and the community they've created around this shop is great. Go here and you'll never go to another wine store again.
I have been searching for a particular cream liqueur and maple bourbon for the past two years that is produced in Vermont that is not sold in Virginia. After a bit of research...I was told that Grape D'Vine sold it. As luck would have it they only had one bottle in stock and it was promised to another customer. After having a delightful conversation with the owner, Joe, he was not only willing to place a special order for me and ship to Virginia he also provided me the contact information of another supplier that had what I was looking for in stock and could ship sooner. Grape D'Vine is a lovely wine shop with a great selection, excellent service and an owner that goes above and beyond. I highly recommend if your in the area...definitely stop by and check them out!

I absolutely love the liquor store connected to this restaurant. They have such great prices and the man who runs the place is the greatest! Always makes me feel welcome when I stop by and remembers me. I live in NYC and love coming to this liquor store for the people, prices and most of all the selections!

Grape D'Vine is the kind of shop everyone needs close by but sadly most don't have it. Joe stocks what he likes and what he knows - and adds funny taste cards on the shelves to help you pick things out. It's a small place, but it has "more" than the big box stores, because there's no chaff here. This is stuff Joe knows and can speak to. The spirits selection is equally curated - this isn't a shelf of typical mixers. This is an ode to the art of mixing and sipping - need a spicy chile-chocolate amaro (the answer is yet) - it's here! Need a barrel aged grappa? It's here. Prices are fair and I dare you to leave without a case. Just save some for me!

Servings are really, really small. Three of us had dinner for $200 without tip. We were still so hungry we went home and ate peanut butter sandwiches. On the plus side the food tasted good and came very quickly. The absurdly small servings have characterized this place ever since it opened many years ago. Now I remember why I never eat here even though I live 5 minutes away.
