“Completely surprised and intrigued with the menu. This is NOT a Mexican food restaurant as the name might fool you. The shrimp taco wrapped in seaweed paper was so fresh tasting,crunchy and absolutely delish. Fried rice served in your own skillet and you mix the egg in was the best! The smores waffle with homemade custard ice-cream was to die for. Bartender Robbie is a pro mixologist with really new style drinks. This place was a treat and I cant wait to go back. Also the service was perfect!”

“They served in full formal fashion. 4 waiters delivered each course so everyone got their plate at the same time. I have not seen this in a restaurant. It is usually only done in formal banquets”

“First time here, food was tasty and attentive service! The Caesar salad was crunchy and favorable. The shrimp Fra Diavlo was flavor able with just enough spice. We split the porterhouse, it was cooked to perfection and well seasoned! The only complaint is that the bread for the table has nuts, I'm extremely allergic to nuts, the waiter thought the bread only contained seeds but I immediately had a reaction, fortunately I spat out the piece bc I would have needed my epi pen and a trip to the ER!”

“I immediately noticed that this is a homemade patty. Not your traditional flaky Jamaican patty with excessive shortening or butter cut into the dough. That being said, for the lack of flake, there is no shortage of flavor. What a delicious bite. The beef and the chicken were both tasty and well seasoned.

I did not stay inside of the store longer than two minutes at most. Extremely efficient customer service.

“There are many vegetarian-friendly options here. The Himalayan and Indian spice flavors are interesting and engaging, without heat overwhelming the actual flavor of the dishes. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient, and the guitarist who plays Sunday evenings is talented, with calming music.”

“Fantastic flavors, dishes are AMAZING! We had butter chicken, fish curry, somosas, chat and everything was perfectly seasoned. Will definitely return. Service was exceptional, suggestions were on point and ambience was very warm and friendly. Thank you for the the lovely hospitality and dining experience. The additional dessert rice pudding at the end was icing on the cake. My Mom loved it. 🥰”

“Used to go the Mount Vernon shop when I was a kid, then after the fire and they moved to the Bronx..followed them down there- EVEN when the current owner bought from the gentile older man from MV... "Paul" has kept up standards. The Coco Breads are THE BOMB - I'd know, I was taught to make them at the bakery my Granny worked in Mo'bay every summer! A MUST HAVE !!!! Go out of your way. Brave the parking situation. DO IT, you will not regret it!”

“I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!”

“Came in real quick to order food to go but didn’t expect the ambience to be so nice. The music and scenery is so nice. Definitely would return to dine in. It was a Thursday night around 10pm and it was full of energy. Rasta pasta was good too”
