We were in tonight with my two young daughters. The food was amazing but the waitress we had was truly over the top kind, especially to my kids. We appreciated it so much. Will definitely be back!

The food was very-good, not great, not just-good. The ambiance was incredibly amazing, not very-good or great. I sat the the bar for dinner and it was a fantastic experience. In the front room, think grandfather's basement comfort with elevated cocktails and high-end food. Perfect combo of quality and comfort.

This place is a hidden gem but if you are a local, you are no stranger to the mountain house. The pizza is a must try! I recommend the farmhouse pie. My personal favorite is the Margherita pie with vodka sauce, not listed on the menu. Fried ravioli is crisp to perfection. Try the rigatoni D pasta dish, it was amazing!

Great getaway in the middle of nowhere. The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. Not cheap but well worth the cost for a great evening. Book in advance, and don't be surprised if it is crowded early. Very popular it seems.

Our experience was excellent. Service was attentive but not overbearing, each course was sublime, and the bill reasonable (only one of us had a glass of wine—$40), but the chairs would be more comfortable with more substantial cushioning. Our dinner guest greatly praised his experience, as well.
The pizza was insanely good. I walked in thinking I wouldn’t enjoy my meal as I don’t like thin crust pizza but this pizza was the best I’ve ever had!

So disappointed. Have had wonderful experiences and lots of fun. They changed hands and we will not be back. The main dining room ONLY serves a price fix menu. No indication that was the only service in main dining. You have to find a place in the bar to order off a bar menu. No indication on Web site. Price fix menu was limited and expensive. Have loved this for years. So sad.

The service at The Mountain House continues to go downhill. Each time we go I tell myself it’s just because they’re busy, but then the service is always progressively worse than the last time. The staff are rude and inattentive and if you can even get their attention to ask them for an update on your order, be prepared for a curt and rude answer. Great food. Horrible service that overshadows everything else. The place has definitely reached a point of no return in our opinion.
