West Bar is one of my regular spot,if you looking for a rum punch that punch you back this is the place ! Drinks are always on point and strong. The food is also really good.If you come here on a weekend the wait can be a bit long,if it’s during the week the service is fast.
Food was exceptional. My husband and I had the steamed snapper with vegetables and the pinepaple chicken fried rice. Both were super flavorful & DELICIOUS! Meals were served quickly, steaming hot and fresh. Conch fritters were great and drinks were PERFECT! Bartender who was our server tonight (12/17/22) was EXCELLENT. Excellent customer service and drinks. Hidden Queens gem. We will be back!
Ooou baby this place is a vibe. I enjoyed the food , drinks and music. Definitely a new fav place whenever I’m in town. Try the scotch bonnet wings, tacos, conch …baby just try it all. Thank me later
The food was good, although didn't eat much. However, what I had was excellent; careful those scotch bonnet wings are exactly that. I would've probably given five stars had I had more things off the menu. The drinks are strong but I'd could change one thing, beer needs to be cold and they need to stock bar better. I ordered two things before I got a drink.
The service was amazing!!! The food and drinks were phenomenal. First time visiting and I highly recommend. It has a great vibe and the portion sizes are a beast!! The only slight issue I have is with the conch fritters as they were mostly breading rather than conch. Other than that the wings, pasta, salad and lobster Mac were deliciousFood: 5/5
We showed up at 11:30pm on a Tuesday and knew we’d be cutting it close for dinner and drinks, but we had a layover at JFK and figured we’d find a spot to grab food.AMAZING.The food service was done for the night but our waitress (didn’t get her name) was excellent—friendly, sharp, adorable. She even found us a take-out order that was never picked up and allowed us to get it. The shrimp tacos were to die for.All in all, we’ll be stopping here every time we fly into JFK.
Horrible customer service! No dialog just take order and go no follow-up no request for anything or drink refill. If I didn't love their Fish Taco so much I wouldn't go there. I know it's a Bar, but the music is so loud the lounge part goes right out the door. You can't hear your partner right across the table from you. When you try to call to order and pick up they never answer and when they do they put you on hold and then they hang up. This place could be nice but unless they revise their customer service they'll just be another hood spot
This is one of queens treasures a wonderful jamaican restaurant on Springfield blvd. The best time I think to go there is a Friday after work for happy hour I love there mixed drinks you actually get what you pay for sometimes I think even a bit more the staff if extremely friendly and welcoming. I also love that they don't pressure you by asking every minute if you need anything else you could sit all night and listen to the dj doing his thing by taking you through deferent genre of music ,I must say there pineapple fried rice dish with the shrimp is amazing everything taste fresh a again the bartender/tuff don't disappoint just a nice chill spot incident free security out front dimmed lights cozy seats just amazing love it there ooohhh also the price is inflation friendly.
Great atmosphere, clean, service was reasonable. I took away one star because the food wasn't much to my liking, although the presentation was fantastic. I will definitely go again.
Good food &, music r&b, reggae, great drinks the only draw back we received our appetizers with the main course.
I really like it here! the vibe is unmatched on a Friday night. they have the best tacos I’ve ever had. it’s the escoveitched fish tacos! abs the pasta omg it’s to die for! the bartender Sasha is great. her drinks are hella strong!service was great on a busy Friday night that’s actually amazing and hard to find. I will definitely be going back!
Good spot to come too for a late night drink and some good food. The bartender with the short hair is really nice. Their asparagus and fish tacos are so good. The kitchen closes pretty late during the week which is a plus.
Deserves ZERO stars but Google requires a rating to post.Heard rave reviews. Decided to try West Bar.No parking. Greeted by SECURITY????!!!!Stood idly/ignored in the spacious dimly-lit atrium unsure if we should seat ourselves until a female appeared and seated us.Couldn’t catch her name since music volume was SO LOUD.Before we could sit down and look at the menu she asked what we were drinking…wtf????!!! We need a minute ? thank youWhen she returned, we ordered everything at once to make things easy? Beverages, appetizers and entrees. No straws or napkins with the water. She returned with the rum wings, 2 plates no napkins. No finger wipes. The "don’t worry be happy" drink had me worried (no alcohol) not happy with that.30 seconds later the entrees were served. ??♀️ Not sure if they sold dessert, but I feel that had we ordered dessert with the order she would brought it out with the other items ordered.Pineapple Rice. Pretty presentation was way better than the taste.Spicy pasta dish was decent.. or so I was told.We asked another server for a water refill which she obliged (Don’t know where our server was). But we finally got our server’s attention for the bill which came quick and even quicker to process the payment.I wanted to love this place, make it my new spot in the neighborhood, butservice was nonexistent and the food was not that great. If it wasn’t for the company, this entire experience would have been a dub.I will NOT return to this place.
Love love this place. The fish taco is so delicious ?. The servers are very welcoming. The music is good. Drinks are always on point.
