Incredible experience. An unassuming facility against a magnificent backdrop. So glad we took the detour to stop by the home of my favorite bourbon.
Went yesterday and truly enjoyed myself. The views, the band and the whiskey made for a very relaxing Saturday. Everyone was extremely sweet and helpful
I tried the straight bourbon whiskey. I must say this one is amazing! It has all the flavors you look for in a good whiskey; vanilla, smokiness, warm notes of spice, and yet none of the flavors dominate the others. Instead, you get a smooth and extremely easy to drink whiskey that asks you to pour a second glass.
I was visiting from North Carolina and passed by this Gem! I was outside taking pictures when I saw Pierce through the window. I knocked and asked him if it was possible to look into the gift shop and he let us in! What an awesome place I got to pick up a couple of bottles, some t-shirts and some souvenirs!
Definitely was a nice distillery, and I’ve been to many!
I hope to come back when they’re opened up and enjoy the festivities.
Always a blast visiting this place. Excellent product. Most recently visited to host a bachelor party group and we all had a great experience thanks to Claudia and the team. Hope to be back soon
Absolutely love their whiskey, my buddy and I went here and each bought a bottle of double barreled maple whiskey. So hood we need to make another 2 hr drive to buy more.
The Dutches private reserve was amazing.
Stop in every year to refill our stock
Have enjoyed this excellent find at a New England Costco. It's smooth, quite drinkable, and has an excellent caramel-y-noted finish on the palate (it says honey on tasting notes, but it rounds it out nicely).I'm not a "spice-bourbon" category guy. I prefer "rich" & "sweet" when applying the bourbon quadrant map.My brother-in-law, whom I'd classify as a Bourbon aficionado, and I did a blind taste test over Christmas. We compared Taconic Distillery's Dutchess County Reserve with Eagle Rare 10-year & Bardstown Fusion Series. Both of us, hands-down, chose Taconic in the blind test. That says it all to me. It's not about price but quality crafting from a producer/distiller.These folks are serious, next-level legit. I only hope it stays reasonable in price because in my book, this could easily develop a cult, viral following.Excellent job, Paul & team. We hope to enjoy this beautiful beverage for years to come.
Had the maple bourbon.Truly an awful drink. It was the harshest liquor I've ever had. Felt like sandpaper going down. Pleasant after taste but that's all. Hard pass. Especially for 53 dollars, I hate to say it but a cheapo 15 dollar bottle would of been better

Every spirit tasted was top notch. Negroni was delicious as well. Their outdoor area is hard to beat.
