I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! OVERPRICED meals, bad atmosphere and terrible customer service. The lady was standing outside while I tried to enter the restaurant and asked me “What did I want” EXCUSE ME! She should be inside greeting PAYING CUSTOMERS that’s PAYING for service and quality BETTER! GO TO THE SPANISH RESTAURANT next door! Food had good flavor but overpriced compared to similar restaurants. $20 FOR THIS PLATTER! DO NOT GO HERE

The food is good but the two women who work there are not polite at all!! They have the most nastiest unpleasant attitudes, they charge about $17 for one piece of a really small fish and fufu but refuse to give you enough of the sauce that goes with the fufu dough. They put your food and a very small squared container and if you even dare to ask them for more pepper sauce on your fish they proceed to tell you that they cannot in a very nasty way even after paying so much money. The food is decent but if you are anything like me and enjoy pleasant service where you go and spend your hard earned money at; I wouldn’t recommend. You definitely leave feeling very uneasy and disrespected!! If you are an American and not their culture they will treat you very bad! Those two women need to really have better attitudes while servicing customers!
Walked over from the SI Ferry, it was a pleasant, delightful experience.
Got the stewed chicken over yellow rice. Very spicy. Really got the juices flowing. Absolutely loved it. The small plate was ten dollars.

My wife and I took a trip to NY. It was my first time in the city. Being a man who loves food, I always love to try new ethnic foods. It was a quaint little place and very inviting. Abey and her daughter were so kind. The food was absolutely amazing. If it is your first visit to Stanten Island or you have lived there for years, Abeys is a must!

Nigerian soups and pounded fufu was good. The rice portion was so plenty and filling. Peppered soup was fresh. I have not been disappointed. I would definitely recommend this place. Quick service and really good customer service.

Girl at restaurant tried to charge me 1.25 for a clearly marked 99 cent can of Arizona Ice Tea. I will be contacting the Better Business Beauru and Dept. Of Consumer Affairs. It is illegal to sell anything other than the price marked on the can. Reataurant looks abandoned, hardly any food out on display and it has an odor that is not acceptable to sny eating environment. I strongly DONOT RECOMMEND. Nasty attitudes.
