My cat and I used to go in together to get our pastry. There's a veterinarian right beside the bakery. I always think of him when I see Alfonso's. Good pastry selection, cakes too, and bread.

The place is a neighborhood staple and I refrained from writing this review for a couple days because the kids that work in there are sweethearts, but I’ve been burned more then once now…for starters it seems like whoever is running the place whether it’s a manager or the owner I couldn’t tell you but regardless he’s a miserable person thankfully, he isn’t in there too often so you don’t have to see that depressed mug or hear him talk to the girls like crap too often & the bulldog walking around like she’s in the iron workers union, like she’s back there building a high rise, calm down you’re baking cookies… sometimes I go in & there’s either one of them walking around And talking like They are doing you a favor serving you there semi stale products at three times the amount they should be charging…. Listen, I have no problem spending good money on goods & services as long as you get what you’re paying for… But these guys definitely push the limits of “fresh” on some of their items & When you’re having guests it’s embarrassing if stuff is beyond a day or two old and lost it’s zest so to speak… anyway, I’ve been biting my tongue for month's. My wife keeps sending me there even though I tell her I hate spending money there but after this past weekend, I’m done, enough is enough. I’ll take the ride to a further bakery At least I know I’m getting fresh stuff from people that appreciate your business and not act like they just did you a solid slinging you some sour cheese cake and gravel topped crumb cake. Respectfully, Get your acts together and stop being complacent…

It is good store to buy cake from …..just need to add more different kinds of cake as the choice is limited little bit

What a disappointment. I purchased a cake for my daughter's graduation. $70 for a birthday style cake is outrageous, especially since I paid $32 the year before at
Amici bakery. I asked for fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Are strawberries out of season? Barely any strawberries in the cake and the cake it's self was gritty. Growing up, my grandfather was friends with Alfonso, and they both worked at Angelos bakery in bensonhurst brooklyn. Before Alfonso worked at the Worldof Astoria. I'm sure they would both be disappointed.

I was a seady customer but no more. Rude workers there that rush you out without even finishing to tell them your order. I will never go back there. Food is good but terrible customer experience. No thank you. I will shop at other bakeries that are more customer friendly.

Everyone is so friendly, especially Amanda! She's great! I he up by the other Alfonso's, but this one is just as good!!

The girl that served me gave me the wrong item. The bread that she did givr me didnt seem to fresh either.

Bought an apple crumb cake here today (4-5-25). Brought it home, cut into it, MOLD.

Everything is so small and everything is so expensive 2 cannolis 10 bucks are they freaking mind I will never ever come here again!!!

I drive from NJ to Alfonso's because there isn't a bakery put here even close to their quality
