My daughter had her prom on staten island. I needed a place for dinner while my husband and I waited. Googled and found Angel's Tavern. We invited a friend to join us. Haven't seen her in 10 years. We were there from 630 to close catching up and the staff never rushed us out. They were so nice and pleasant. We ordered fried calamari and the salad with mango and goat cheese. Both were delicious. I ordered the fish special which was monkfish, clams and mussels over pasta with red sauce. My husband had the bronzini and our friend had the salmon. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. The only reason that I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the sauce in my entree was too salty as was the sauce on the salmon. If that was fixed, this place can't be beat.

Wonderful place with really good food at good prices. This place is a gem, as are the staff. We went for late lunch and had the arugula pizza and 2 salads -strawberry w/grilled chicken & an apple salad- everything was delicious. I'm sorry I can't recall our waiter's name, but he's young and works hard to please. Also had this waiter a time before and he was very attentive. The owner/manager is so welcoming, and this is my new favorite place on SI.

The food is fairly decent, I can’t say the food wasn’t good. However the wait staff needs improvement. I’ve gone here several times & I noticed that whenever they’re on the busy side the wait staff tends to forget about you a lot. We received our food and I waited til the next time I saw our waiter so I can ask for waters & cheese for my meal. Mind you water should’ve been the first thing they gave us and considering the fact that I got pasta, the waiter didn’t bother to offer me cheese as he brought my meal. After receiving my food about 10 mins later, I saw my waiter & asked politely if I can have cheese. He made a weird comment saying, “You waited 10 mins to ask for cheese??” Which I think was inappropriate & uncalled for. What does it matter “how long” I waited to ask for cheese? Very rude thing to say to a customer.

This was another first for us but after reading the reviews we decided to try it. We went around 6:00 so we were seated right away. Service was fast. My son wanted a burger my husband ordered the steak sandwich and french onion soup and I ordered the shrimp scampi. The only thing I was a little disappointed was that the shrimp scampi came with nothing you had to pay to put rice and broccoli as sides so that made it a little pricey about $40. We didn't wait long for the food and the food was delicious none of us had any complaints very tasty nice size portions. Once we received our food the restaurant became a little bit more crowded and then nobody ever came over again to ask us if we needed anything or even wanted dessert. So we just asked for the check. In total for two drinks, a Shirley Temple a soup and three entrees the check was about $100 which we thought was very reasonable. The food was delicious and again the service was good up until the end when they got a little busier but other than that I think we would definitely go back. We parked on the street. The parking lot isn't that big but I think you can find plenty of parking in the neighborhood.

We found this spot by mistake and absolutely LOVED EVERYTHING! I had chosen another place to have lunch after my wedding and it turned out bad but, things happen for a reason right? Our waitress was great! I’m so mad I forgot his name but I posted a picture of him! If you go and he’s your waitress your in great hands! He went above and beyond to help us choose our meal and even brought is a courtesy drink and dessert! The atmosphere is great, bathrooms clean, delicious food, everything was 10/10 for me!Thank you! I will surely be coming back :)
