My daughter had her prom on staten island. I needed a place for dinner while my husband and I waited. Googled and found Angel's Tavern. We invited a friend to join us. Haven't seen her in 10 years. We were there from 630 to close catching up and the staff never rushed us out. They were so nice and pleasant. We ordered fried calamari and the salad with mango and goat cheese. Both were delicious. Wonderful place with really good food at good prices. This place is a gem, as are the staff. We went for late lunch and had the arugula pizza and 2 salads -strawberry w/grilled chicken & an apple salad- everything was delicious. I'm sorry I can't recall our waiter's name, but he's young and works hard to please. Also had this waiter a time before and he was very attentive. The owner/manager is so welcoming, and this is my new favorite place on SI.

The food is fairly decent, I can’t say the food wasn’t good. However the wait staff needs improvement. I’ve gone here several times & I noticed that whenever they’re on the busy side the wait staff tends to forget about you a lot. We received our food and I waited til the next time I saw our waiter so I can ask for waters & cheese for my meal. Mind you water should’ve been the first thing they gave us and considering the fact that I got pasta, the waiter didn’t...
