Ordered a sandwhich which looked so good on the picture when I got it, the bread was extremely stale, and there was barely any meat on it, and there was a massive amount of mayo to make up for the loss of meat. It was so disgusting. It made me sick. I should have taken a picture, but I didn’t worst chimi spot I’ve ever been to, but it’s the only one in Staten Island

I went there yesterday June 12th 2025. I bought 2 chimis and patelillos de res. I don’t understand the bad reviews because the food was absolutely amazing. I’ve had plenty chimis from the heights and these chimis are comparable. The service was amazing very friendly staff. I love the ambiance. Great place and I will definitely return.

Please learn how to make a real Chimi. The meat was hard and absolutely no taste!! This also goes for the chicken empanadas dry and absolutely no flavor or taste. The beef ones have a way better flavor and taste

I’m disappointed. Really wanted to love this food but it was far from good. Not understanding the huge blob of cheese over everything? Hot dog was false advertisement and not good at all.

We ordered a chimi and 5 meat fritura with tostones, French fries, and fried sweet potato. Beef was hard to eat; it was too thick and lacked seasoning (personal preferences). Longaniza, pork chicharron, orejitas, and boneless fried chicken were good. Pink sauce tasted ok; was too watery, wish it was thicker. Total $ 76...

Next day, we tried the beef chimi and chinola juice. Chimi was good, I love messy sandwiches, and this was on point. However, chinola juice tasted as it's supposed to, lol, real chinola, sour, missing a little bit more sugar. Total $42.

The place is clean, a very good portion, and good service. I feel comfortable eating from here and will go back and try other things from their menu.

Food is good
But service is not
I went with my mother and treated us very bad like awful throwing everything at us and talking very tough to us . You don’t know what people goes through in their day and sometimes they’re trying to buy some good food to relax and you end up dealing with all of this and some costumers stay quiet all the time and just leave .

We just ordered through door dash. Yaroa has no sauce, fries were soggy. The chinola juice is super watery, no flavor again.
