We decided to take a ferry ride from Manhattan to Staten Island and used our OpenTable app to find a restaurant for Saturday brunch/lunch that was nearby the ferry terminal. Beso was very well rated and so we booked a reservation. After our almost 2-hour meal, we were extremely satisfied with the food and service and can't wait to return.

Everything was perfect: the food, the atmosphere, and the service! We order their Beso Calamari and the Seafood Paella de Beso. Both were delicious! For dessert we had the Fig Tart and the Fiesta de Cannoli ! OMG! Fabulous! I highly recommend this neighborhood gem!

Worst paella I have ever had. It didn't taste freshly cooked. Half of the clams and mussels were empty shells! Very bad entree decision!

Every dish our party of 4 ordered was delicious! From the empanadas to the plantains with chicken for tapas and the shrimp and clam risotto to the Halibut special was the best! If you like sangria, the Beso sangria is one of the best around!
Our dining experience was fabulous. The food was fantastic and the service was  superb. It was a great night. Parking was the only downfall for dining at Beso's. Other than that it was perfect.

First, we were seated at a table by a closet. Employees went in and out during the entire night with dirty buckets for cleaning the floors and other equipment. It was disturbing and definitely not appetizing. The food was mediocre, the only thing that was good was the waitress, she was as accommodating as could be under the circumstances. Never again would I go to Beso and I would discourage anyone I know to NOT go to Beso
