Pretty lackluster here…Rueben dumplings were overpriced and dried out. The sauce was petite and tasteless that accompanied the dumplings. A wee bit pricey for a bad experience here. I think it’s over hyped here and honestly I’ve had better dumplings in Chinatown . I have not an ounce of understanding of the automat system and the way you pay here. It is odd and off putting to say the least. You are paying for dog food here and pre packed rubbish. The steamed dumplings were akin to a prison kitchen meal. I wish these people well yet I think it is a fool’s errand that you’re attempting burgers next to an establishment well known for their top tier ones. Good luck and may the gods you pray to help you all out

I am very disappointed! I was never given the chance to even grade the food or atmosphere. I ordered food on a too good to go app ( totally paid for) and was given a time to go pick up my order. I arrived at the Forest Ave location in Staten Island to only find the place closed. I knocked on the door and a lady opened and told me that they will be closed ( no food at all ), she's not sure what happened or when they will reopen. She assured me that I would get a return phone call and a full refund. I have been calling for three weeks the least, and still no answer or refund. The site says temporary closed, yet I just saw another post on too good to go saying they have food available. They robbed me pretty much! And possibly about to do it again to someone else today. I would definitely like my money back. Bad business

Probably the worst “asian” food that i’ve ever had. I got 5 different chop chop bowls with 3 different sauces and meats. The kung pao was reminiscent of dawn dish soap; being overly sweet and was no way resemblant of any kung pao dish I have ever tried. The peanut sauce was drowned in butter but somehow still absent of any flavor. The teriyaki bowl was incredibly bland as well. Overall, I’m incredibly disappointed and none of the overpriced food that I got was eaten. The automated aspect of this place was interesting and the atmosphere was nice but that is pretty much all I can say. Save your money.

Unfortunately, I feel the food is bland. I prefer the favors produced at the Chinatown-based kitchens!

The flavor was decent, but for almost $20.00, it’s essentially 3/4 a bowl of noodles. Wish there was more protein or vegetables. Pretty pricey. Most likely not getting again

I had been eagerly anticipating the opening of BK Dumpling Shop for months. As a dumpling enthusiast, I couldn't wait to indulge in their offerings. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and attractive staff—a charming man with a brilliant smile and a lovely woman who exuded warmth. The cozy ambiance and easy ordering process added to my excitement. I eagerly took my order, ready for a dumpling feast. But, alas, my experience took a nosedive from there. The "dumplings," if they can even be called that, were more like microwaved perogies filled with lackluster dog food. Mac and cheese dumplings? More like flavorless yellow blobs. It was a complete disappointment. To add insult to injury, the portion sizes were shockingly small for the price. I felt like I had paid a down payment on a car for a mere dozen dumplings. What a letdown. My partner, who was with me, was so disheartened by the experience that she wanted a break from food altogether. It hit her especially hard, given her struggles with depression and PTSD. How could a place with such promise turn out to be such a disappointment? It felt like our dreams and hopes had been crushed. It's like eagerly awaiting a monumental event, only to be hit by a truck and left paralyzed. That's the level of disappointment we felt. It was a mix of anger, sadness, and profound letdown.I wish I could fully express the range of emotions we experienced that dreadful night. To make matters worse, the aftermath of consuming those subpar dumplings left me confined to the toilet for hours. It was an agonizing experience, both physically and mentally. Water and agony became my companions.I genuinely hope that BK Dumpling Shop can learn from this mishap and improve their offerings. It's my sincere wish that they live up to the potential I had envisioned. Hopefully...

Vegetarian options: Yes, but all of it kind of taste the same. Meat, veggies, whatever. It might as well be the same.

Kid-friendliness: Yes. I don't know if you should feed your kids this stuff.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. Although you might end up in a wheelchair after eating here, unfortunately.

Oh Man was I excited when I saw this place and couldn’t wait for my doctors appointment to be over. The place was so cool and I felt that whole order on your own with the giant touch screen thing. The place had little cubbies where your food appears, I loved the vibe. Even the young lady who worked there and walked me through the process was absolutely lovely and very helpful. Although the food was very hot and fresh it did not hit any of those notes. You know, the garlic, ginger, chilies, five spice, anything! The food was very dissatisfying and I was given packets of sauces but they too was disappointing. I’m no food critic but I love to cook and rarely eat out so I was bummed by the time I got home. You all nailed the spot but gotta get on that menu. I brought home a bag of vegetable dumplings and will keep my fingers crossed. I will make my own sauce though. I rarely leave reviews but I hope this helps. Us American's are a little more evolved than you think, give us a shot. All the best

Just as fast as people say there's a first time for everything, they should say there's a last time for everything too... The food wasn't tasty and they give very small portions to be so expensive, especially when ordering through UberEATS I spent $60 on food and my kids only drank the soda and it was in a can‼️??‍♀️✌???

Great taste, great quality and great experience at the BK Dumpling Shop S.I location. The crunch level on these dumplings was perfection. 100% plan on going back and ordering more items on the menu.

Not truly an automat, but I prefer it to an actual old school automat where the food has been sitting there for hours all dried up and you gotta dig through your pockets and purse to scrape together enough coins. Dumplings are good, service is a bit slow. It has a fast food vibe with a sit down restaurant wait time which... I was not expecting and had I known beforehand, I would have been less annoyed. No one is available either if you have questions.
