I find it interesting that most of the reviews are for the tacos, tostadas, etc. I go for the bakery items. Everything is freshly baked. In Spanish we call the baked items "pan dulce" or sweet bread. The pan dulce is not heavily sweet. They have just the right touch of sweetness. Everything is moist and have great flavors. When I compare their pan dulce with other places, there is no comparison. Other shops sell dry and almost tasteless pan dulce. Café con Pan is the place to go for the baked goods.

This food is the real deal. I have only eaten Mexican food this good in Mexico (and Texas). The food came in time and the flautas were still hot and crispy. It's been a while since I have had such an authentic experience.

Overall: average taco place around this area! Doubled up tacos, prices are on par with other places, nothing extravagant but not bad! Inside: some seating! Maybe 18 people can sit inside fully! Theres an atm, you can view all the bakery items, breads cakes and flans. Food: the tacos are doubled up so you know they doing it right! Flavors could be more (salt, cilantro, lime etc), i dont know the difference between the bigger and smaller tacos but I just ordered the bigger ones and they seem like a regular size taco to me! The horchata was perfect though so come get that! Loaded nachos were good too very cheesy. Service: quickly was seated and they gave us our drinks and appetizers right away!

We recently ordered horchata (with other items) from here and it came to us spoiled. You could SEE IT, SMELL IT AND TASTE IT. We called the restaurant about it and they tried to tell us it was “too much cinnamon” and didn’t offer a refund or an apology. This is the second time we’ve received spoiled food from this place, the first was cheese on a quesadilla. I would be careful ordering from here until they address the quality control issues unfortunately. We love this place but will be making the drive to Port Richmond moving forward to avoid these problems and wasting money.

This place is disgusting the food is horrible they gave me quesadillas with old cheese and brown lettuce. Also the cakes are old and gross they will re frost the old cakes and sell them like that. The people working front desk are so disgusting and rude.Definitely go to the one in port Richmond this new dorp location is pure garbage and horrible.

It's been a terrible experience with prices and food, over charging for subpar food, I would give it less if I could,if you can go to another Mexican restaurant that probably has better quality and better prices.

I really like the food. It’s perfectly cooked and well put together.I wish that I could have the option to order online without the use of doordash because I know doordash takes 10-20% of the commission from restaurants, same goes with other delivery apps but with a higher percentage.I think this will be my new favorite spot to go to for bistec encebollado torta because the location is pretty close and convenient. The pricing is also fair and reasonable. But most importantly, it’s sooo delicious, fulfilling, semi-healthy!?

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, look no further. The tacos here take me straight back to Harlem and Corona. Tried the lengua, barbacoa, chicken, and carne enchilada tacos. All were delicious. Horchata was sweet and refreshing. In my opinion, ho brah serves more of a Cali-style trendy taco (think blackened fish) while this place is the true New Yorker Mexican food experience with tortas, chilaquiles, and the best proteins (pig ear, beef tongue, etc). Nice people as well. Also, bonus for not being stingy with their sauces (I’m looking at you, Chinelos).

Location is convenient. It's the first restaurant to find after getting off the train. We ordered chicken fajitas. It was enough to feed three of us in one plate and was delicious, chicken, vegetables, bean, rice and tortillas. The rest room here is very nice and clean. People are friendly. We also bought some gummy candies for kids to have fun.
