Excellent place. I really hope they stick around. The cortado hit the spot and my wife and I loved the affogatos.
Service was excellent.
I love how spacious the vibe is. Go. It’s worth it.

This is My first time going to a cafe in Bay Street with a group of people from JCC. It's a walk from where I used to live in 52 Beach Street and had to get there by crossing the street. There is a McDonald's just not far from that too. It's a brick building and it has a sign of a coffee cup at the front door entrance. When I went inside, the place felt American like and a little welcoming. It's almost campy. There was one carpet at the entrance because it was raining when I got there. They did have some chairs and tables. A bookcase with a little winery at the bottom and coffee and books. ☕🍷📚 They do have a back room where it's really comfortable. They could have put a rug there too since it has the red curtains for an entrance. Inside they did have a lot of art pieces on the walls and a fireplace with wood 🪵 and two chairs and a table. There is a couch there as well. And a dresser like cabinet in the corner of the room. The whole back room area felt like something out of the 80s or a 90s sitcom. I looked at the menus and they're very fancy. I picked out the SI Burger with sea salt hand cut fries. The burger was $15 and the fries were $8 which equals out to $21. Pretty expensive for two meals because the burger came with a pickle and chips. The freeze came with two sauces mayonnaise and ketchup. The chips were a little hard but I enjoyed the burger 🍔 and it was very delicious 😋. I did ask how much the drinks cost.$3 for a glass bottle of soda or I could have the water which is free. I said yes to the water but I didn't really get it. I'm not going to lie I was slipping a little bit because the whole floor was made of wood. Hopefully I can come back to this place for a little bit more of an experience does this kind of Cafe looks and feels very homely and I don't know why. Does look very cool though.👍🕯️🦅🍔🍟😁🍳🥞🧇🥯🥐

Great atmosphere, great food and great people. The owner is friendly and chats with everyone. Bacon egg & cheese is one of the best on Staten Island, and the coffee is the best in town.

Updated Review: ⭐ 4/5
I originally left a one-star review after a really frustrating morning — and honestly, it was fair at the time. I showed up right at opening (according to posted hours), the door was locked, and a staff member inside gestured for me to wait while they finished their breakfast. Ten minutes passed with no update, no acknowledgment, no explanation. I left. It was a rough start to my day, and the lack of basic communication really rubbed me the wrong way.
That said, we had been to Caffeinated New Yorker a few times before that, and those visits were overwhelmingly positive. The staff was friendly, the vibe was cozy, and the Gaucho sandwich really hits — steak, bread, and sauce is always a win. Last time I went, I had a raspberry mocha with an extra shot of espresso, and it totally delivered.
What really impressed me was the owner's response. He reached out directly, took responsibility, and offered a sincere apology — no excuses, no brush-off. That kind of accountability matters.
So I’m updating my review to 4 stars. There was a service failure, yes — but the willingness to own it and do better makes a real difference. I’ll be back soon, and if things stay solid, I’m happy to bump it to 5.

I had high hopes for this place. It was empty when we arrived yet the woman got our coffee orders wrong to start. She was on the phone the ENTIREEEE time…. Then it took almost an HOUR to get our food … mind you the place was empty and we ordered 2 sandwiches. They were absolutely disgusting the chicken tastes like leftovers cold and rubbery and the sandwiches had basically nothing on them. My husband is the nicest man on earth and even he got up to leave because the food was soo bad. Never again
