Food is fresh, they're quick with deliveries and customer service is good. They don't add utensils, napkins, etc and that would be a critique. I've ordered many times and have not been disappointed. Recommend steamed broccoli, shrimp egg foo young, fried rice, lo mein, and wings.

Arrived on a busy Friday night in December. Bartenders and waiter were outstanding! Food and drinks excellent. Menu fantastic. A special shout out to our great waiter Julio R B!!!! Cannot wait to go back !

Lovely atmosphere. Large windows giving a sense of space to a smallish room. Gracious reception. Good bar seat with attentive staff. Hamachi crudo was fresh and contrasted well with mushrooms and vinaigrette (a tad too salty) . Bright and bitter broccoli rabe, with breadcrumbs, chili and garlic was perfect and could have been a whole meal! Shrimp was fresh. I am very selective. Food has to be top quality and atmosphere authentic. The Clam rocked it.

Great food, service and atmosphere. There was no rushed feeling. Loved the Burrata with peaches and salmon with horseradish.

We found the Clam last year, and ate there twice in two days. If you love seafood then you will not be disappointed. The team at the clam really know how to make fresh, zingy dishes, and let the seafood talk for itself. From the Small sweet Oysters to the cucumber gazpacho starter and the main course, brill, which was succulent flesh, crispy skin, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Just a great chilled restaurant, great vibes, great staff, superb seafood and a place I traveled from Miami to visit and was disappointed.

The Clam Fans of Market Table, Little Owl and Mary Lane, we tried The Clam for dinner last night. As the name implies, this seafood-centric, West Village spot serves good fish dishes in a casually, pleasant setting. (The Clam is the least casual of the restaurant foursome, but still easy and relaxed.) The chasing thyme cocktails were fresh, raspberry focused, and inventively good. The rock shrimp spring rolls were tasty appetizers. The halibut entrees were good, and accompanied by delicious mushrooms and fava beans (minus the nice bottle of Chianti). The snickerdoodle ice cream sandwich was devoured. The Clam is yet another “feather in the cap” of The Little Owl restaurant group, who consistently does a very good job of providing tasty food in pleasing (yet unpretentious) surroundings by an attentive staff.

I have ordered from this restaurant many times over the past few years and have generally been pleased with food. However tonight I ordered chicken with cashews and white rice combo and when I got home I found there was hardly any chicken/Lots of carrots and celery, very little chicken. I called the restaurant and got transferred to several people and eventually was told they were were sorry and they would give me a free egg roll in a future order. Not exceptable. i paid almost $11 for the meal of carrots and celery and white rice with a few pieces of chicken. I will never order from Island Garden again. Too many good Chinese restaurants on the North Shore to order again from them and lousy place that doesn't seem concerned with their customers.

We have often eaten at Little Owl but only recently did we find out that the same owners operate The Clam. So we went. Excellent in every way. Great drinks and food - as we've come to expect from the Little Owl. I wish the music was slightly lower. We are mid 60s and it was difficult to talk to our friends. But terrific staff and just an excellent dinner.

This meal was absolutely incredible. The weather was -12 degrees Celsius and me and my girlfriend scurried to the clam. She had been before and I had heard good things. We were sat promptly and ordered; very nice vibe and the servers were very tentative and polite. We ordered Clam dip (mindblowing) Spring roll (top top) Salad, really amazingly seasoned Shishito peppers - perfect Arancini - crack cocaine with a sprinkle of heroine on a plate. Halibut and risotto - perfect Everything was perfect. Again my girlfriend wouldn’t let me eat more but I was having a f*cking great time. The dip and fried potato crisps were seriously good. I would bathe in that dip, provided I had an endless supply of the potato crisps with me. It was not fishy but perfectly made. The arancini needs a mention, hard drugs on a plate, the texture and taste was so on point. I wanted to order another 2 portions but it’s very good value you get 6 on the plate. I am going to come back and order at least 2 portions for myself. Also the salad - random because salad sounds insignificant but it was so moreish. If you go to New York and don’t come here (as well as osteria carlina) then I genuinely pity you and your trip, as it would have been meaningless and unfulfilling. Please go here.

Have not been here since te the pandemic. Always gracious and kind service but not today. Host gave us the worst table all the at outside to the side of the restaurant. Refused to give table just outside of the restaurant. Of course, when sitting so isolated, service isn’t great and feel kind of abandoned. Clam chowder was ok with under cooked potatoes. Spring rolls were good but a bit too salty. Clam and lobster sliders were good but not amazing. Mystery vodka drink w cucumber was watery. After this experience I will not be going back. I know plenty of better places where hosts are more gracious.

The food was very good but quite pricey and a limited menu. The lobster and crab sliders were delicious as well as the crab dip and chips. The drinks were overpriced but good as well. The service was also very good.

Just an overall excellent dining experience. Outstanding service from all the staff, and in particular our server Carla. Our two main dishes, the sea bass and spaghetti with clams were great, as were the appetizers, mussels and shrimp. Just a great all around restaurant.
