I was robbed out of 500$ from frank pinto. I was a waiter there and he didn’t pay me the money he owed me and just shut the restaurant down without telling me
It’s so sad how a beautiful restaurant owned by Jill and Charles, once upon a time, got wrecked by new management. The food, service and commitment to quality went down in less than a full year. I hope that Jill and Charles can retake their restaurant, now that it is sadly closed.
A friend gave us a gift certificate to this restaurant. We read the wonderful reviews and were looking forward to going there for dinner. We made reservations the day before online, and received an email confirming the reservation. We got there yesterday, which was a Saturday evening, and found the restaurant closed with no note explaining why they were closed. We called their phone number and the message gave no information on why they were closed. Not sure if they are still in business.
Incredible evening with our best friends celebrating our birthdays. Frank the owner is amazing, sweet, friendly and a great chef. Our food was absolutely delicious from beginning to end. We came from New Jersey and our friends came from Long Island. We are so glad we did. Will definitely be coming back very soon.

The order was supposed to be delivered at 4 PM. We waited for an hour and a half and still no food so we decided to pick it up. There was no cookie tray or the bread. The food was good, however the service was disappointing.

This places pros are the chicken parmesan was absolutely delicious, the sangria with brandy was a nice touch & the owners wife was an absolute sweetheart & should probably be running this place. The cons, the owner is full of himself, the place is never open, which is a lil suspicious, we were told to come in for a bday meal on the house, upon getting there around 4ish, we were told by a rude bus boy it was closed, then called & was told to come back, we came back waited a total of 25 mins to be seated & a total of 40 min to gets drinks or a menu, the bread came out after the meal, the menu was way overpriced & underwhelming, we were the first customers there so thats not saying much, I ordered the steak & shrimp with roasted potatoes, the steak had zero flavor, very chewy, roasted potatoes, while perfectly roasted lacked any salt, no flavor whatsoever (just my personal preferences), the cons make the few pros seem irrelevant, the food was brought out to us by a very unenthusiastic chef, it's a cute date night spot if they're ever open & you got a small fortune to spend on mediocre food, for these prices your better off going to Metropolis & getting your money's worth, btw I was asked by the owner not to leave a bad review & I tried not to cuz I felt bad, but any owner that needs to make such a request I think knows why, if your food & service spoke for itself, it wouldn't have hadda be asked, after all was said & done, this was my honest review, this place gets a 5/10 for a cozy ambiance & very well made sangria, 0 stars for table side manner, since they didn't seem to have any wait staff besides busboy/dishwasher as the owner took our order. Very off experience.. definitely won't be going back.

Great food awesome atmosphere truly Sraten Islands best
We stumbled upon this place and we didn’t expected the top tier customer service and delicious food that they offer! We even met the owner of this establishment by accident yesterday and he was very kind. He even offered on the house salad and did not disappoint us when he said that their lamb chops is one of their best! It was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The gnocchi bolognese was also phenomenal! We definitely did not expected how HUUGGEE the portions were, haha. But definitely a really good authentic Italian restaurant with good ol’ classical music that fits the vibe. Highly recommended this place if you are looking for a good Italian restaurant for a reasonable price.

Never coming to this restaurant..and yall shouldn’t either. Owner is very rude and mean to his staff, you can hear him shout at his cooks. Food is not good, you’re better off at McDonalds, he’s also very rude to customers.
