My wife and I visited this cute little Italian restaurant recently to celebrate our first anniversary. When we got there, we were greeted by the owner who acted as our server as well as the cook. We started off with the meatballs as a starter. They were made old school, like my great grandmother would make it with pine nuts and raisins. They were delicious and the sauce was fantastic. My wife had the surf and turf and I had the rib eye special. Both were cooked a perfect medium-rare. The owner (who’s name I unfortunately have forgotten), heard us raving about the meatballs and brought us out a complimentary bowl of freshly made pappardelle pasta with red sauce and more meatballs. Needless to say, we were beyond stuffed. When he heard that it was our anniversary, he then proceeded to insist we stay for a surprise dessert on the house. This was an offer we couldn’t refuse! A few minutes later he dropped a warm funnel cake in front of us, topped with strawberries, vanilla ice cream, salted caramel and whipped cream. It was fantastic! I really can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for a great meal at a great price, this is the place for you!

A group of friends had a lovely reunion here. We were treated so incredibly well. The food was delicious from the warm bread to the entrees to the very special dessert sampler! Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend. Our second time there and first under the new management. Well done!

First time going back under new management and they have returned to greatness! For appetizers we got the baked clams and calamari. I have a very high standard for baked clams and they surpassed my expectations! For our main course I got the mixed seafood pasta and my girlfriend got the lamb chops. Both of which were excellent and we would get again. The owner is great and kept making sure we were enjoying our food and overall dining experience. Overall, really happy they are open again and they stayed as BYOB!

Great food and great service. But I must say that the owner kind of told us we should not order from the menu but order from the specials without disclosing the price which we later found is $70 per plate. These are expensive city prices not a cute cozy Italian restaurant in SI. So I prefer that the owner would be upfront and tell us the price. I would have preferred to order from the menu with knowing how much I am spending. Great food but for $250 a couple without drinks I will skip next time

Owners Frank and Carmen treat you like family from the minute you walk in. It’s a small cozy place which we loved. We are all food lovers used to eating out and yet we were all impressed when we tried all the fresh specials Frank prepared off menu. The Tomahawk steak was absolutely amazing especially with his own special sauce that accompanied it. The eggplant pasta special with olives was phenomenal. Carmen was lovely making sure we were attended to and uncorked our wine as it is a BYOB for now. Both of them made a special birthday dessert tray for me as a surprise. They both genuinely care that you feel happy with your entire food experience. So give it a try and get the specials of the day you will be glad you did.

Started off with the meatballs which were excellent and gave me a grandmas house nostalgia.. The stuffed veal chop with cheese, prosciutto, and spinach topped with their marsala sauce cooked with love was absolutely off the charts.. for dessert I had the homemade pumpkin gelato mixed with graham cracker topped with whipped cream.. never had any gelato like that.. wish I had a tub in my own freezer.. but the outstanding food wasn’t the only thing about this gem.. The owner and his wife set up a beautiful ambiance and gave us a great experience.. if you’re reading this. Thanks again!

Mother and son date tonight. We ordered the sweet and spicy calamari, rigatoni with eggplant and hot sausage and broccoli rabe over fusilli. The food was outstanding. Restaurant decor is elegant and service very friendly. We will definitely go back.

You walk in and instantly feel like you have entered a loving family home. The food is delicious and made fresh with the best ingredients. I have eaten at a lot of restaurants over the years and food can taste good sure, but when it's made with love, it feeds the soul. Exactly what I needed tonight. Thank you !

Idk if it’s cause of my skin or if they treat people dining in differently but this is The worst pasta I’ve ever had . Nothing like what I’ve seen from the reviews . FIRST they charged me $31 for Cesar salad and 2 pieces of fried chicken with Alfredo sauce when I asked for chicken Alfredo and a Cesar salad . Then when I went back to tell then there were no noodles just chicken and sauce they acted so confused and the guy said he told them Fettucini chicken Alfredo . They took my order back and said it would be extra to get the noodles . . I’m like after I JUST paid $31 for a salad ? And chicken with sauce ??? No . So they said never mind and proceeded to give me a small bowl with noodles and what tasted like the bare minimum store bought Alfredo sauce and the noodles were NOT fettucini . ALSO I did NOT ask for fried chicken I hate fried chicken in my chicken Alfredo . When you order chicken Alfredo the chicken comes GRILLED unless you specify fried chicken . Just terrible customer service and lousy food . VERY bad first impression . I’m HIGHLY disappointed because this is not the chicken Alfredo I saw on their menu and they completely ripped me off . How is their chicken Alfredo $15 and I ended up paying $31 for literally a salad and two strips of fried chicken drowned in sauce ?? AND it didn’t even come with bread like most almost every Italian restaurant does. So a Cesar salad is also $15 ??? Yehh I definitely will not be back . EVER. I’m Pissed .

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Cucina Fresco last evening. The food was delicious. I had the Broccoli Rabe with Sausage and homemade fusilli, from the regular menu and it was exceptional. My husband chose Sword fish off the Specials menu and really enjoyed it. It was our pleasure to meet Frank and Carmen, the new owners. They went out of there way to make us feel welcome. This will certainly be our go to restaurant when dining on the Island.

I Was there this week and all I can say is I cannot wait to go back. From the cozy atmosphere to the most wonderful and friendly owners. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. I honestly have not eaten at a restaurant with this high quality food in quite awhile. Nowadays the prices at restaurants have gone up so much which is understandable but you don’t get quality food, that is definitely not the case here. Homemade lemoncello which I normally don’t really like I literally gulped it down. The dessert was the icing on the cake. I honestly cannot say enough about my wonderful experience here. Please go support them I promise you will not be disappointed!!
