My husband came across this place and decided to give it a try since it was on Uber. Never have I ever had “bbq” this bad. Ordered 2 mixed platters, 1 with ribs the other with brisket and white meat chicken. When I say this food was old, it had to have been reheated from about 2 days before. The ribs were tasteless and tough as rubber. The chicken had no flavor and dry to the bone. Ive had white meat chicken from other bbq spots that were juicier than a thigh. The fries had to have been fried at least 5 times with how hard and dry they were. The brisket was cut like sandwich meat, never had we seen that. And the cornbread wasnt even cooked properly. Never again 👎🏼

Came in with my family this past weekend. For an early dinner, the place was not busy for a Sunday. Which was great for us. In the city, this place would be a great packed sports bar that serves good BBQ like Brother Jimmy's back in the day.
Alissa, our server was great. She checked in with us multiple times during our meal and answered all of our questions. This place has good NY style BBQ. It is steps ahead of Dallas but not Hometown level BBQ. The portion sizes are large. The 4 of us ordered 2 entrees and a kids sliders, and some sides there was plenty of food to take home. For a local Brooklyn BBQ place that has multiple TV to watch the game, good food, great service you can't go wrong. We will be back.
Kid-friendliness: There is butcher paper on all of the tables which is great for kids to draw and doodle on.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes there is a wheelchair accessible ramp.

Great People Great Service Great Food however if youre looking for their signature dish called The Plate this is not the group of people that were the original owners. They decided to take the signature dish away originally from upstate ny. But don’t get mistaken on everything else.

Been there a couple times and no regrets! The food is delicious and the serving is huge, they serve a lot! The flavor is good and the drinks too. The service is great and the atmosphere. My favorites are the smoked bacon burger and the Staten Island Bomber. I hope you go hungry because everything is delicious

This is great sports bar. The food is great. We had the smoky back ribs, with just a nice kick of collard greens, potatoe salad with corn bread. Awesome staff. Attentive and enjoyable to chat.

High hopes but food was bland and unexciting. The potato salad mostly tasted of potato!
Daddy O's was a restaurant I remembered from my days living on Staten Island. They were amazing back then - I couldn't imagine them being anything other than delicious, now. Luckily, their new restaurant on 4th Avenue is only a short stroll from our current house. The man and I decided to give the new location a try, on Date Night.
We walked in around 6:15pm and only one other couple was in the restaurant. It was dead. That broke my heart, because this place is set up for "Game Night". This place is set up for crowds. This place is *not* meant for silence (other than the upbeat music playing in the background).
And I read the reviews; Some were far from flattering. Frankly, I didn't buy it. I didn't buy the negativity. I know this restaurant's potential because I've dined at this restaurant back in their hay day. I needed to see this restaurant, for myself, at their new location.
The man and I were greeted by the *sweetest* waitress. She handled our drink orders and explained everything on the menu to us. We weren't interested in appetizers, tonight - We wanted the meat, and make that a double. The man and I both ordered the 1/2 Rack of St. Louis Ribs. His sides were Brussel Sprouts and Coleslaw, my sides were mashed potatoes and coleslaw.
Fifteen minutes later, another young lady brought our steaming-hot orders out to our table. Our waitress checked in with us to see if we needed refills (we did) and we dug in to our entreés.
The ribs were *PERFECT*. Very tender but not fall-off-the-bone tender. Although they offered a house barbeque sauce to go along with the ribs, they didn't need an ounce of it; They were seasoned perfectly. Not too little, not too much. Of course, this didn't stop my Man from basting his ribs in the savory house barbeque sauce that was generously supplied to our table.
As far as the sides went: The coleslaw was dressed in a vinegar-passed dressing that was shockingly divine! The brussel sprouts were delectable, as well. Mashed Potatoes could have used less milk and more butter, but I happen to be a mashed potato snob, so maybe other people would find them fine, as is.
The corn bread was a delightful ending to such a delicious platter of cuisine. Sweet, moist, rich - Perfect.
The total for the bill was reasonable. Affordable.
On our way home, we passed the restaurant's kitchen door. The man and I easily cheered at the kitchen staff "Gentlemen - Tonight's dinner; Bravo!"
We're definitely intending on returning, soon.

I was just in for the first time in a restaurant. The service was good but I had a shredded chicken with the barbecue sauce and it was horrible. The barbecue sauce I took the food to go and I gave it to my dog. That's how bad it was

The smoked pastrami sandwich was as dry as Death Valley. And the Kaiser roll was close to but not quite stale. I’m willing to give it another try because the flavor of the meat was good and the staff was super friendly. But again SOOOOOOO Dry. For a a new establishment their quality control needs to be better. I even told the waitress that I was undecided between the pastrami and brisket and was steered to the pastrami. Not her fault. The kitchen shouldn’t be served bone dry meat.
