Denino' s Staten Island, complete Racism. From the owner down the line. So today My wife and I went for drinks and food for March madness. A female and male other than African American sitting at the bar mistaken me for the comedians tracy morgan and katt williams. You can google and see there are no similarities between the two but I guess they feel all black people look the same and I dont look anything like them. We let it go but they continued until it became disrespectful. So when we addressed them of course they played victim. Before anyone knew what the issue was they came to us saying we were being problematic. After we explained the issue the bartender continued with saying u need to leave never once addressing the other Individuals. The owner came over and said the same. I explained what happened and he basically dismissed it and backed the other Individuals. They are the Sal's of 2024 from the movie Do the right thing.Pay attention some things will never change.

Deninos has great pizza and is usually nice and well done. I will admit I used to love their calamari - it was nice and crispy. But over the years the have changed the recipe, now it is chewy and kinda gross. I hate to throw shade on this pizzeria because I have been going there since I was a kid but I want to leave an honest review. And I wish they would update their glasses instead. They are so small and you got to suck with these tiny red straws. I'll admit I am not a fan of that (but it is tradition). I love their pizza but I will say it used to be better than it is currently. The last time I went here was 2 years ago. It was for a family birthday party. Most of my family was surprised with how much the recipes changed. However we mostly order pizza and calamari. So I can't say how the other menu options are. All in all I will continue to go here just not as frequently as I used to. Because it is far from my home and it just isn't what it used to be.
So, I may sound strange, but that was just one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had! Bread was perfect, the chicken cutlets were fried to perfection, and it all made this just as good as it can possibly be! Will be back!!
