There was a group of four women that thought they were at a ball game and no one said anything to them.

Visited last Saturday, since I’ve heard good reviews about this place. The appetizers and everything was good until we got our entrees. Two bites into the chicken parm, my fiancée bit into a huge piece of plastic. They apologized and remade the food but by then the mood was ruin and our appetite was gone. They gave us free cannolis which weren’t good and charged us full price for everything. Sadly, we won’t be returning here.

Solid Southern Italian cooking. Great atmosphere great food. Everybody was happy and the portions were large enough to get a second meal. I Love New York Italian restaurants!

The greatest place on the island for a nice dinner, meeting, first date, celebration, quick bite, you name it. Without a doubt the best service I've ever had, feel like you're at a five star restaurant. The best and I mean THE BEST chicken parm I've ever had without a doubt. MUST GET THE CHICKEN PARM!!!!!

On Sept 17 we had a birthday celebration. I ordered the chicken cutlet parmigiana aka Don Roberto’s chicken parmigiana. The chicken was so tough and leathery. Very difficult to cut. In fact the knife was useless. I couldn’t complain but my friend also agreed. The chef made it so thin and overcooked it as well. Very dry. And tough

We got takeout on Saturday night after participating in the Fence Show @ Snug Harbor. It was our 1st experience with the restaurant and we were very impressed. Our order consisted of a Caesar salad, artichoke salad, and two eggplant rigatoni dishes. Everything was so tasty. I love how they packed the food so it would stay fresh- dressing on the side and burrata in small cups. The portions were huge too! We live in Brooklyn but we will definitely return! If the food is that good to go- it must be amazing when you dine in.

I’ve always heard Staten Island is the best of NYC when it comes to Italian cuisine, and Don Roberto must be one of the reasons why it holds that title. The wine, appetizers, and main course were all excellent.

They brought bread and olive oil to the table, and I could have eaten an entire loaf with that olive oil blend—it even had real olives in it. There’s definitely a Nonna in the kitchen making magic.

The service was incredible; the staff was attentive to every table without ever feeling rushed. This is a great spot for couples, groups, and families alike.

To top it all off, we’re staying in Manhattan and discovered the ferry from Lower Manhattan to Staten Island is free. The trip was absolutely worth it
