Before I pick up the place I always do little research and read reviews. So I pick up DOUGH By Licastri for takeout. We planned a nice dinner with friends and family and the ‘specialty pizza’ from top rated place sounded delicious.No offence but both pizzas were dry, extremely lacking in sauce, plain flavours, poor seasoning and not enough of cheese. By the way the I liked the dough. The description of San Gennaro Pizza says: Margherita topped with Sausage, Red Onion. Sausage does not mean a ground meat. And it was anything but Margherita.The other pizza The Lazy Sunday Pizza should have Tomato sauce, pecorino, stracciatella, meatball crumble, sausage and onion but again plenty of very plain ground meat I believe named meatball crumble with no sausages added. The difference between them was just hot peppers on top of one and burned basil on the other. Overall I got my order in time, it was freshly baked, still warm, nice price.Finally for my friends and me it was very sad pizza choice. Dough fully covered with fried ground meat definitely feels like maybe Turkish cousin but not an expected ‘specialty’pizza. Some effort and nice definition must be done. But if you want to make yourself extremely full because you are very hungry that is a good pizza choice for you.
