Dinner at El Pollo II, never disappoints. The beef stew with white rice was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The pernil (roast pork) with white rice was also a hit, as were the cheese empanadas. The food tasted like a delicious home-cooked meal. The portions are generous, with leftovers for lunch the next day. This is a place to revisit for authentic and affordable Spanish food.

The pernil was dry and the skin was simply a lacquered rubber. This place has a generic vinegar hot sauce available. That's pretty disappointing. The stewed chicken was nothing to write home about. The yellow rice was hard. Not an undercooked hard. Just hard from being dried out. Decent portions though.
