I ordered shrimp and mofongo and I got another order of chicharron and mofongo …the shrimp was fine but they put 3 bite size pieces of chicharron on my plate. Then they packaged it so they could hide the fact that one of my orders were missing meat . I got my money back and will never buy from here again very nasty service!!! Do not buy food here they play with your money !!

My husband & I found El Tablon by accident the other day. We love the other Dominican restaurant on Forest Ave, so we wanted to compare. The restaurant is small, but very nice and we were able to get served immediately. The people were very accommodating (my husband always wants extra beans with his rice). We had the oxtails, which were delicious and less expensive than the other place. They also seem to be available every day, unlike the other restaurant. We shared a meal, which was plenty for the two of us. We plan to go back because they have a great selection and we want to try the other items on the menu.

Maduros are horrible. Why to sell food that is very disappointing. White rice is good. But the black beans are very watery with a few beans.

The food is always fresh, flavorful, and authentically prepared. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend the tacos and house made sauces.
