Food is really good has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for years now

The meal was delicious. Steam Wonton, brown rice with broccoli and pineapple teriyaki chicken and many other meals that at the moment can’t recall was Piping hot, great proportion. The price are reasonable and the seating dining is where you can enjoy the chosen Tv channel the staff watching and enjoy the scenery and your meal. The healthy meal option is price efficient.

A place like this can only survive in a neighborhood like this. I dont know what the hell I was expecting upon entering this questionable establishment.
Low grade and greasy food... nothing healthy and very expensive.
Signs all over telling customers what they cannot touch and how asking for an extra sauce or a lemon costs extra...
Just a low grade, ghetto chinese restaurant.
It was good many years ago but so was the neighborhood.

Religiously went here for years ATLEAST once a week. They got new owners about a year ago and changed the recipes for the food. Gave them the benefit of the doubt but it’s not the same anymore. Still looking for a new chinese food with similar chicken wings to the old fortune cookie.

Fortune Cookie is definitely one of my Go To spots for many years, delivery and takeout. I have so many favorites dishes, I can’t name them all. But, I did order the Shrimp with lobster sauce recently and it was delicious. I hadn’t eaten it in years.

wonton soup had a lot of sliced scallion greens and several pieces of pork, broth was flavorful and not overly salty. Edamame - plentiful and delicious. Place looked very clean, many tables to sit, A rating. I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised! Will eat here again!

I have been ordering from this restaurant from the first day they opened over the last year. Their food has gone downhill .the chicken is all fat unless you ask for white meat chicken who ever heard of that ?The prices have gone up. The portions have gone down. The quality of food is nasty !!!!The woman that answers the phone is the rudest person I’ve ever spoke to in my entire life good luck fortune cookie because I can’t see you staying open for another 40 years.

I’ve eaten here two times so far. First time was pre-pandemic and during the summer. I believe I ordered same dish too: beef & broccoli with brown rice. But I got caught off guard by how big the portion size was the first time around. So today when I had a hearty appetite and hadn’t eaten all day, it seemed like a good move to hit up Fortune Cookie before going to Stop & Shop supermarket a few doors down. It was warm indoors (respite from the 30-something degree weather outside), plenty of seating, clean appearance, and complimentary green tea dispenser along with sugar. I ordered beef & broccoli combination which came with (pork) egg roll. Very hearty serving size! The price considering was fair: about $13. (They do accept credit /debit cards & Apple Pay.) There was a tv showing NY1 News. I took my time enjoying my meal which was hot and tasted good. One important note based on a lifetime of eating Chinese food: If the hot mustard comes in a little cup instead of those ubiquitous packets, watch out! It’s going to hit different—just a drop or two of the cup one is WAY MORE zesty than an entire packet and you will feel a mighty exodus take place in your nasal passages. So if you like hot mustard, make sure you get extra napkins. I chilled out in Fortune Cookie for maybe close to 20 minutes. When I told the pleasant lady who took my order that I wanted it to stay, she brought food to me at the table. Solid 4 stars. No complaints. Two other things to note: I believe this is the rare Chinese restaurant that doesn’t sell “4 chicken wings and French fries.” Also, thankfully, they don’t charge you $1 extra for brown rice. There are places that do that—penalize you for trying to eat healthy—and I hate it. Please be careful around parking lot/sidewalk entrance where Dunkin Donuts is: Drivers are not always paying attention to pedestrians and sadly, tragically, I did see a horrible tragedy happen at the shopping plaza entrance near Fortune Cookie.

Parking: Be careful of cars if walking through or into parking lot. Terrible accident happened in the past.

My husband and I have traveled from Brooklyn for 30 years to go to Fortune Cookie. We placed an order yesterday for $92. Nothing had any flavor. We were so disappointed.First Jimmy ran it and then Joe, NEVER had 1 complaint from us.We will never take that trip from Brooklyn again. Prices are outrageous for what you get.
