To start with the basics, it's a traditional fast food chinese spot with the pictures above the register. Nothing special inside, but if the food is good, that usually doesn't matter. They're always friendly and quick when you walk in. However, they do NOT take card (credit or debit). For that, you need to order online and pay a $1 service fee.It pains me to write this because I have been eating the lunch special here off and on for the last few months, and it has always been well flavored, hot, fresh, and tasty. The other day, I finally decided to bring some home for dinner for my husband. 2 large portions and 1 order of dumplings.Dumplings- undercooked dough inside, pale as if they were hardly pan fried, and tasted store bought instead of made. Quite disappointing.2 parge portions- I'm not sure where they went wrong with this. One of the portions was something I had ordered over and over again (I'm a creature of habit), and the other was something new. Both came up short. More sour than their usual salty/sweet/umami sauce, and at the same time watered down. Both me and my husband had some prolonged and unpleasant dates with our toilets afterwards and the whole night into the next morning.

Great China in New York is a hidden gem that promises an authentic Chinese dining experience. From the moment I entered, the warm and inviting atmosphere, adorned with traditional Chinese décor, set the stage for a delightful meal. The menu at Great China is a culinary delight, offering a vast array of dishes that cater to all tastes. However, their soup options stood out as a true highlight. The Hot and Sour Soup was a flavor explosion, with the perfect balance of tanginess and spiciness, showcasing a symphony of ingredients that left me craving for more. Equally impressive was the Wonton Soup, with its delicate dumplings floating in a savory and aromatic broth, comforting the soul with every spoonful.Beyond the soups, the main courses at Great China were equally exceptional. The Kung Pao Chicken, with its tender chicken, crunchy peanuts, and vibrant vegetables, was a perfect harmony of flavors. The attentive and courteous staff at Great China added to the dining experience, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. If you're searching for an authentic Chinese dining experience in New York, Great China is a must-visit. With their delectable soup options and a diverse menu of flavorful dishes, it's a restaurant that will transport your taste buds straight to the heart of China.

So for starters, the flavor is not bad, but the tenderness of the ribs is not there. I’m so used to happy fortune on Manor Road. That’s where I will continue to buy my ribs.
