Never had their food but I will no longer go there and use my debit card. I got charged $70 for a $7 beer. It will only be cash for now on. Thank God after I go out I always go to my bank app to see what was spent. The atmosphere is cool vibes. The music is great. The girls bathroom is disgusting. It's always water on the floor, never any tissue. Seems as if that bathroom is never clean.

Sri Lankan cuisine at its best! Not too spicy was the winner ! The buffet was tasty and had a good spread too ! The Hoppers were very good ! The service was excellent by the owners daughter !

I was visiting the neighborhood (a preserved architectural gem) and found La Cueva, where I had lunch. In one word: a gem too, which reconciled me with Mexican cuisine -- the one we eat in America, as I found, is a pale copy of the diversity and subtlety of the traditional cuisine in Mexico. The owners are young, passionate, and always eager to help you discover new meals on the menu.I had a wonderful meal and time: highly recommended!

With a quick arrival and equally quick entry into Lakruwana we didn’t grasp the fairly large circumference Lakruwana attains. Dining space walls are filled with large, esoteric bewildering art images; Sri Lankan origin perhaps. A gigantic table with single group fills the middle of the main dining room. Unique postures of persons at the huge table; faces and full views of each are blocked, turned away, too distant to “see.” Other tables surrounding it have reduced # of seats and less mobile space. On both sets of tables most backs of chairs are dramatically raised very high. Here and there, now and then, brief scans of a nearby back of a leg or a quick glance at a face quickly turning opens. Those visible on the scene seem one dimensionally visaged, little fullness or facial depth. An immense staff contrast steps forth when all the dining group together at center table finish dining and prepare to leave. After seats are vacant staff inspects and viciously clears the moments before full tables, removing all traces of people or food presence; no remnants of their long stay arise. Set faces of wait staff’s scouring looks seem to pressure diners to finish; waiters and staff keep looking for any signs of diners leaving. Lakruwana’s food didn’t save the day. This buffet combo of dishes seemed to lack the fervor of food one would look forward to. No one dish this day seemed especial or extra memorable. Leaving Lakruwana, the exterior two-street view of the restaurant appears unexpectedly expansive, wide, more than the inside view presents. Departing “is dat en island?” for perhaps Manhattan, ride the nearby newer smaller ferry, a short, bumpyish but unique pleasure filled voyage back to Manhattan.

Place is "popping" as some maybe most would say lol. Music is always off the chain - shoutour to the DJ's. Bartenders are mad cool and make the best drinks. Beautiful women - even the staff ?. Karaoke and pool table? Doesn't get better than that. Hookah available as well.
