Al pastor tostadas gave me food poisoning. The meat didn’t seem well cooked or perhaps it’s just old. Perhaps this is why they had the buy 1 get 1 free deal. This is me throwing up at 4 in the morning. I’ve been sick for the past 2 days.. I’ve just started to

Such an underrated Mexican food spot in Staten Island. Personally best I've tried in Staten Island. The tacos and quesadillas are my top favorite from here. The meat in their foods is tender and juicy not dry as I find most places to be. Their green salsa is a must on the tacos ! They have some seating available but it is more on the deli and grocery side. They have a large variety of foods available on the menu as well as Mexican grocery items you won't find in your local grocery store. A must try while in the Port Richmond Area!

It's hard to find a great California Burrito in New York City, let alone on Staten Island. But Matamoros does a really great job! The steak is soft and tender, the French fries are crisp, and the flavors are on point! Inside the restaurant is a small grocery and a couple of tables. The workers were very friendly. They've only been open a few months and they do it right. Don't sleep on this place!

Super courteous and well managed. Food always comes out fresh and delicious. Small mom and pop shop!
