Mello Bistro is truly a hidden gem in our quaint Staten Island. The family operated venue lends an intimate, cozy, familiar old school ambiance. You feel transported to authentic times of the past when restaurants were owned by families and you were treated as one. The restaurant no frills decor focuses in customer service and superb, quality food which is hard to come by today. One glance at their menu and you know by each dish description it will be delicious. Zuleyka with her husband Chef Romulo, their sons, Felipe, do not miss a beat welcoming customers, making suggestions, tending with care to each patron. The food is spectacular, from their warm bread, to appetizers, main courses, a culinary orchestra of harmony. Their espresso Martini one of the best we've had. We keep coming back for more and grateful to have stumbled into this authentic place, V&M.

Recently hosted a party there in the back room & Mello & the gang were the best! They were absolutely pleasant to work with throughout the entire process! But not only was the service amazing the food was equally as good! Highly recommend for a 20+ people party, the room was perfectly sized to still feel cozy but more then enough room to move around freely! & on top of that maybe you can even purchase Christopher’s ( Mellos sons) new cook book called the The Chefs Playbook!
I recently hosted a party in the back room, and everything was absolutely amazing! The team was so organized and easy to communicate with leading up to the event. Setting up and decorating went incredibly smoothly, and the dinner itself was phenomenal. The chef and wait staff were extremely attentive and incredibly kind. Everything turned out even better than I could have imagined. i wish i had more pictures to share to show about nice the back room was. I will definitely be back and will be recommending this place to everyone!

Had my 30th birthday here as a private event! I can’t say enough good things. From the service all the way to the food/drinks! The staff were so attentive and friendly, they were very helpful with my elderly grandma, and the chef even came out to introduce himself and ask how everything was at the end! The food and drinks were nothing short of amazing. I seriously can’t think of one negative thing to say. I recommend mello bistro 100 times over for a private event or a dinner! Perfect 5 ⭐️ will definitely be back!
