Mike's Olympic Grill

Today I ordered a Spanish Omelette with fries. The French fries were crunchy and had a beautiful golden color. The Spanish omelette we’re discussing! They were drenched in salsa both outside and inside the omelette. I asked the waitress, “why was it drenched in salsa? and she said, “that’s how they make it” and she suggested if I wanted to take it home ! Just bad costumer’s service ! I paid full price for it and she got a tip but they lost a costumer.

The service was very slow. The server was friendly and helpful, but the kitchen took forever to make our food when the place was half empty after 10pm. We thought the food was just okay.

Classic diner. I got blueberry pancakes, eggs with cheddar cheese, side bacon, coffee,
OJ. Some of the best pancakes I’ve had in a while - slathered with butter, really enjoyable bites with a nice salty kick. Food came out in less than 10 mins.

We had the sweetest waitress, very kind very polite. Very nice. The service was great. The food was good. The pricing was not terrible pretty average for a diner.

We were in NYC for the first time and stayed down the street. We were in town 4 days and ate at Mike's 7 times this place can do no wrong. Veal parmesan that puts my Italian immigrant grandmother's to shame a great staff cozy family atmosphere my wife still talks about this place 7 years later.
