Recently, we visited Redemption Coffee, formerly known as Mustard Seed, now under new ownership. The transition seems to have brought a heavy focus on coffee offerings and small brunch options. We stopped by for a Sunday breakfast-lunch before embarking on a day of home tours and open houses. The place exudes a hip, modern appeal, with outdoor seating that, while great, could use a bit of attention as it appears worn down. As coffee enthusiasts, we were pleased with the quality of their lattes. While we're not typically fans of bacon, we decided to try their salmon and avocado on toast and on a croissant - and were pleasantly surprised by how amazing it tasted! One area that could use improvement is staffing; currently, the owner seems to handle all aspects of the operation - from cooking to serving and cashier duties. However, with the right team in place, the service experience could undoubtedly be elevated. Overall, Redemption Coffee shows promise under its new ownership, and we look forward to returning to see how it evolves.

The barista was super sweet and friendly! I ordered a pistachio latte, and they had coffee ice cubes which is cool! My partner ordered an Ube tea and it was also yummy. The croissant was buttery and warm. Cute place too!

I liked the cappuccino. It was tasty and highly caffeinated. Service was great. 100% honesty the place does need a little TLC. Beyond that you will get a good cup of coffee and you will be supporting a local small business. I do recommend checking it out.

I got a horchata which was really good, but also got Brazilian cheese bread which ended up being really stale and even having mold on it. I sadly didn’t realize until I was too far away to go back.
I recently stumbled upon this hidden gem of a coffee spot, and let me tell you, it's an absolute hit! The cozy vibes are off the charts, setting the stage for the ultimate coffee experience. The staff? TOTAL rockstars. Super friendly and always up for a nice chat. If you're after a chill spot with solid coffee, this place is legit. Get ready for your taste buds to do a happy dance! Check it out!

I came in asking if they sold coffee beans. Pierre, the recent owner, said that weren't yet selling beans, but asked how I liked my coffee. This lead to a great conversation about the brewing process and locally roasted beans. Pierre even sold me some of the beans they use (Unique Roasters).I will definitely be back to try more and to chat up Pierre - great future ahead for The Mustard Seed!
