We took a look around Staten Island and decided to have lunch in this special restaurant. Food is very good, obviously not so simple if you do not like it spicy, but anything we had was tasty ans also healthy. The chef is super nice and like to talk with people, so we could have some laughter together. Please remember that Sri Lanka is not India.
We visited New Asha in Staten Island last Friday, and it was hands down one of the most heartwarming dining experiences we’ve ever had. The owner and hostess, Viji, was absolutely wonderful she welcomed us like family, made sure we were comfortable, and even treated us to extra dishes out of pure generosity. Her warmth made the whole experience feel like having dinner at a loved one’s home.

The most delicious food cooked by the sweetest owner!! She put a plate together for me and my friends and everything was so good! Especially loved the jackfruit curry, the lentils, and the coconut dessert. Can’t wait to come back!
