I knew this would be a great place to take some friends who had never been to Texas before and wanted to experience non-chain Tex-Mex. The neighborhood, building, decor, staff and quality of food was perfect. However, the mirachi band is too much. Way too loud. It doesn't need to be so loud. It was if the horns had to prove they could play loudly. I get it, when a mirachi band is playing you don't have conversation, but wow, it doesn't have to be so overwhelming. We will go back. Great place!

Carnitas quesadilla with onions, cilantro and avocado.. not the usual style ... AMAZING !! ... large portions and great price too ... small bodega but don't let that discourage you ... you'll thank me later lol

Had a mariachi band that was SO LOUD - way too loud. Chips were rancid. Service was slow. The brisket nachos were good. Guacamole was good, though a touch salty.

We always have a good experience all across the board but this time the server quit coming so we had to flag one down and that waiter did take care of us the rest of our stay. The noise level was loud we could hardly hear other talk as there was a private party in one of the room and they had their own live music and karaoke. The noise level made the experience un comfortable.

El Ranchito is a wonderful place to celebrate! The food is delicious (I always have the mole) and the live music can't be beat. Great service, too!

Elvis Night was LiVE! Truly enjoyed it ALL and meals and drinks were served on time! Definately a highlighted theme for a Birthday Dinner!

We were celebrating my dad's 42 birthday. The staff made us feel very welcomed and loved. It was an amazing experience !

Experience was better than expected. We did have somewhat of a large group (10), just wished our server had a little help, but overall pretty good service. Live the selection and taste of good. Mariachis was icing on the cake.

Food is great for a great price. I love the La Picosita spicy margarita and the flaming choriqueso fundito is amazing! The only issue with this place is the Mariachis that play every night. They are fun, and I like what they do for the atmosphere. But they play for too long and too loud to the point where you can barely hear the person sitting next to you. I wish they only came on certain nights, or only played in a particular section of the restaurant.

Excellent authentic food. It's everything that they claim to be. We really enjoyed the food and experience, and have already recommended it multiple times. Thanks so much for an excellent meal.
