I tried the strawberry cake from Piece A Cake and it was absolutely amazing! šŸ“ The flavor was fresh, rich, and perfectly balanced — not too sweet, just right. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into their baking. The texture was super soft and moist, and the presentation looked beautiful too. Definitely one of the best cakes I’ve had on Staten Island. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves great desserts and friendly service! šŸŽ‚šŸ‘

We came in last minute on Monday to get a cake for my sons 4th birthday. We didn’t see any strawberry cakes in the display. But my mother ended up speaking with the staff and turns out there was fresh cakes in the back. They were so sweet with the kids. Even asked my son his favorite color for his happy birthday on his cake. Which is rare for us. The cake tasted so perfect. Not too sweet. We ended up ordering some coffees. I loved the pumpkin coffee. They even gave a free cookie with the coffee for my son. It was such a sweet and friendly so attentive experience. Will be returning this weekend for another cake.

DO NOT WASTE your money on a fruit tart here: tin cookie dough, smudged with vanilla pudding and topped with supposedly fresh fruits ( the bitter taste will tell you over wise)

Piece of Cake is a must-stop dessert spot on New Dorp Lane. The brownies are outrageously delicious, and the cakes and pastries are just as impressive. I’ve had breakfast here too - it was good, but the bakery is what truly shines. The shop itself is super Instagrammable, with desserts that look as good as they taste.

I'm going to be honest. I would not have breakfast here again. The bagel was undercooked/raw, not really edible. I let the front know of this. The egg was cooked well though. The coffee just meh, threw it out as well. For the prices it's disappointing.

I’ve been coming to this place for years and tonight was the worst experience. I had met with some longtime friends for dinner at pizzeria Giove and went there for dessert following our dinner. When we arrived at approximately 730 we ordered very simple items… 3 cookies, an apple turnover warmed with ice cream on top and one other pastry. We ordered some coffee and cappuccino. As we were paying the cashier said he didn’t have something for the machine and I switched my drink. They asked if the turnover should go on a plate or box, figuring it’s ice cream we asked for a plate to sit and eat. What took almost 25 minutes and mixing orders up they finally serve us around 758 PM. Keep in mind, we ordered 730. We sit down and start eating. A worker comes up and says we have to pack it up and leave at about 802. We explained that there was a delay for the food and my friend was eating ice cream. A manager comes over and says we are being kicked out after spending nearly 40 dollars to sit down and converse at 730. I explained calmly that our order had been messed up and that we waited patiently for our food. We had told them it was to stay and then they waited til we sat and started eating to abruptly kick us out. My firmer said his ice cream would melt and she said she’d box it up. He can eat it and walk on the sidewalk. Needless to say they suck terribly and have teenagers with no respect running the place. On a side note, they don’t know what one sweetener is and it tasted like I was drinking pure sugar.

Piece A Cake is one of my go-to spots in Staten Island when I’m craving something sweet and satisfying. Their Ferrero Rocher cake is absolutely incredible—rich, chocolatey, and perfectly indulgent. I also love their apple turnover; it’s flaky, warm, and full of flavor. Beyond the desserts, their food is surprisingly good too—fresh, tasty, and served with care. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff always makes you feel right at home. Definitely a must-visit for dessert lovers and foodies alike.
