Poppy seed bagel shop is indiscreetly located in a strip mall that if you werent looking for you would pass it. It looks like a trendy bagel shop serving all the heavy hitter sandwiches you can ask for. I went with the buffalo chick sandwich on bagel which was delicious. It was not too spicy and had a great contrast of crispiness from chicken and softness from bagel. There were a lot of other things that looked good. The Bagels were soft and chewy which is my favorite. I would definitely go back.

I have been coming here for a while now, let me just say.. Since the very beginning the service, quality of food, and atmosphere never fails to amaze me. Between the owners and the girls behind the counters the service here is TOP TIER!! Everybody is immensely kind and outgoing. Its an amazing atmosphere for a bagel joint. Now about the bagels, AMAZING BAGELS!!!! TOP 1!!! BEST BAGELS ON THE ISLAND!!!! I cannot stress this enough.. Thankyou to all at Poppyseed! Keep up the good work!!!

One of the best bagels in all of NYC. The South Ave sandwich is the best and I get it at least weekly. All the food is great quality, consistent and the staff is so friendly. Great service and is now my family’s go to breakfast spot!

What a great gem! In town for a family reunion and craved a bagel sandwich. Had an awesome egg and cheese. Spent a few minutes with one of the owners sharing their story. Wish I could get these bagels in Florida!

Poppy seed is just the best, hands down! It’s delicious every time and the atmosphere is so fun! As soon as you pull up you’ll hear music playing and everyone inside is so friendly! The service is great and the bagels are even better! The breakfast sandwiches are huge and never disappoint! So happy for Poppyseed and their continued success !
