Unfortunately, Adam the owner of Portabello Cafe passed away almost a year to the day ago. And I can say from past experiences, he was one of if not the most amazing, generous, hands down great man! The world will never replace Adam Lerner.

I've been coming here for years each time the food has always been amazing. This time I tried something new, Tuscan chicken with tons of delicious grilled veggies in a cognac demi glaze sauce. It came with sundried tomatoes and mushrooms as well. It was super flavorful and fresh. My sister had the chicken parmesan with pasta and she also loved her food. I hope to share more photos soon

Wish I could give 10 stars. Food was amazing and service was fast and friendly. My boyfriend and I shared the baked clams, seafood fra diavalo and bacon wrapped filet mignon. 10/10 recommend!!
Dietary restrictions: They had a keto menu available and even cauliflower mashed potato's.
The only reason I'm giving this Italian eatery a 4-star rating instead of 5 is that the overall experience was good, but not exceptional. While the food was tasty and the service was great, there was nothing particularly memorable or standout about the experience.

Ate here for the first time yesterday since my wife and I moved out of Staten Island over ten years ago. We were in town and decided to stop in. Food and service was as great as I remember in the past. The Asian calamari appetizer was excellent. My butternut squash soup was a generous portion and was also very tasty. My wife had the lobster and I had the chicken fettuccini Alfredo. Both were excellent. Will be back again when we’re in Staten Island at dinner time.
