Just what this neighborhood has needed!! A cozy local business serving up coffee and beloved Italian bakery treats. Enjoyed a wonderful cappuccino, rainbow cookies and a tiramisu cup. Highly recommend the rainbow cookies with raspberry jam!!

One of the best cheesecakes in NYC. Great coffee too along with a lovely owner. If I could give it 6 stars I would, a proper coffee and pastry shop.
I first came across this place 10 years ago on a holiday to NYC from NZ. I had the cheesecake and it was the best I'd ever had. Returned today after 10 years on another holiday to NYC. Made a trip on the ferry just to have that cheesecake again. Still the best there is.
I can't really rate them because they close a little after noon. I see alot of people going there around 4pm but they are closed. People from the courts, library, police personnel and tourists usually go pass the bakery around 4 , but again they are closed..So not sure when I will get the opportunity to dine there.
It took me 45 minutes after getting off the Ferry to find a place to sit an enjoy coffee. The first place advertised coffee, but had no espresso machine. The second place was thermos coffee, and finally a helpful police offer pointed us in the direction of this little gem. We were cheerfully greeted by what I think was the granddaughter of the original owner. The coffee was great, and the carrot cake was excellent. It's a small, cute place with great service. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good coffee. I gladly support little family run businesses like this over Starbucks.
