Thought I ordered peach cobbler instead it’s fruit flavored soup in a bowl ???? and
tasted like a microwaved teabag.
Ribs were good though.

Ordered a pulled pork sandwich. It’s just dry pulled pork.. on a bun… not much taste. I think I ordered potato salad as well.. but maybe they didn’t hear me, So that was disappointing to find out I didn’t have that after I got home. Meh, I’ll try it again at some point… and order BBQ sauce?… one would assume bbq sauce would come with their bbq food, right? strange.

My friend & I were craving some BBQ food so we found this place through a quick Google search. We weren't sure what to expect when we first walked in, but the restaurant looked very nice & kind of rustic. I love that they have a few tables out front as well to enjoy the weather.

Our cashier was very sweet, friendly, & efficient. She also helped give recommendations as well. I ordered the pulled pork "sammich" with a side of roasted potatoes, Mac & cheese, & glazed carrots. My friend ordered beef brisket with a side of glazed carrots & collard greens. The service was pretty quick & the food came hot. Everything looked absolutely fantastic, but it tasted even better! My friend grew up with this kind of food in his family & practically teared up while telling me it brought him back to his childhood with how spot on the food tasted.

Nothing lacked flavor whatsoever. The pulled pork sandwich was perfectly tender, moist, with a tangy/smokey flavor. The glazed carrots were the right amount of crunchy & had a hint of sweetness to them. The roasted potatoes were cooked to perfection with a delicious flavor I can't put my finger on soaked completely through each bite. The mac & cheese was so creamy with some bread crumbs on top- no overpowering taste of cheese, (I ate that whole side!)

The food was so delicious that I ordered food to go. I ordered potato salad, macaroni salad, corn bread, & the cobbler of the day which was peach. My friend ordered over $100 of stuff to take home including the restaurants home made drinks (sweet tea, spiced peach, lemonade, & strawberry lemonade.) He also purchased 4 different types of their BBQ sauce, multiple jars of their jams, cobbler of the day, & the shrimp gumbo. Not a single complaint with any of the food. The price point is perfect & affordable. We had to leave a review with how much we loved this place.

10/10, highly recommend! We will absolutely be coming back while bringing more people.

(In hindsight, I wish I took any pictures of the yummy food but I only took this one photo.)

Vegetarian options: Multiple sides are available for vegetarians. Even the smallest sides at about 3$ each, are quite large. You could make a whole meal out of three sides alone for under 12$

The food quality seems to be inconsistent. I went 4 days ago and ordered the brisket, baked beans, and corn bread. My dad ordered the ribs, coleslaw, and roasted potatoes. We both found our meals to be fairly good.

Based on the first visit, I decided to go back today with a friend and ordered the shrimp and sausage gumbo with a side of cornbread.

The cornbread was stale and clearly overcooked (a portion of the top was just about burnt). I ended up throwing it away.

The gumbo immediately did not look like a traditional gumbo— the sauce was light in color and the consistency of a very thick gravy. The shrimp looked like it was just plain unseasoned shrimp added to the sauce. The gumbo is also not served with rice, so I had to order an extra side of their rainbow rice, which was also lackluster.

My friend ordered the ribs and brisket. She felt the ribs were okay, but ended up throwing away the brisket.

I barely ate any of my food and in hindsight, wish I had asked for my money back as I’ve now flushed nearly $30 down the drain.

Though my first visit was much better, I don’t think I’ll be back.

The service was great! Fast and friendly . However the food was dissatisfying. I ordered the half smoke chicken with two side I chose the glazed carrots and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was nasty not cheesy at all. Very gritty and they sprinkled dry bread crumbs on it after as a garnish! The carrots were the best thing on the plate! Worst of all the chicken was dry and lacked flavor. The white sauce on top of the chicken didn’t help the dryness or the flavor AT ALL! I gave the chicken to my dog. Very disappointing spending $17.99 on food on a Sunday for it to not hit! I love supporting new restaurants on Staten Island being a small business owner myself. But I should’ve just went to Sally’s southern on forest ave. Hope y’all do better!

The cashier/ waitress mentioned it was first day at this location though works at the other locations. Management should be supporting and helping with the orders due to high traffic. No manager in sight - no sense of urgency. This location has a chain of restaurants and I truly felt sorry for her due to every order that was coming out was wrong. Kitchen staff - which can be easily viewed was soooo slow and having about 20 people waiting. I’m still waiting for my food I expect the order (30+ minutes) to be wrong & possibly cold.

Update - food never came out / requested a refund - long wait !!

Food is affordable, the portions weren’t too bad. I would recommend getting the full portion instead of 1/2.I will definitely be returning. Corn bread was delicious, along with the Mac and bbq chicken and beef brisket.
