We tried SIU kitchen Hotpot because we were looking for a new place to eat with my family, and this place definitely deserves 5 stars instead of their 4.5!

It was easy to order because of the easy to navigate menu and super friendly staff that answered all of our questions. We ordered a bunch of items and they did not disappoint. The ingredients were fresh and tasted great. My favorite, and a must have, was their Thai Tea. It was super refreshing on a hot day like today!

Overall I highly recommend this place! Make sure to bring many friends and family to enjoy as much as possible!

Great place for Hotpot, high quality ingredients, clean and delicious. Consistent flavor and quality keeps me coming back. As a loyal customer who always spend over $150 each visit with party between 2-5 people in the past 2 years, I wanna speak up, someone needs to kill the flies in the restaurant. I literally have to protect my uncooked food for nearly an hour on my last visit. Hopefully, no fly on my next visit.

The coconut chicken was really good, but the service was kinda terrible. The waitress (or maybe the boss?) had a bad attitude the whole time—like, why the rude face? No idea what their problem was. We just wanted to enjoy our meal, not deal with weird vibes. Super annoying!

If I could leave zero stars, I absolutely would. I’ve been a regular customer at this restaurant, but after this experience, I don’t see myself coming back. I spent $35 on a portion of Mala Xiang Guo, which definitely needs rice to go with it. My wife and I were sharing, but we only got one portion of rice. When I went inside to ask about getting another, the staff gave me vague and confusing responses, leaving me unsure whether I could get a portion or not. In the end, I had to be the one to ask if I could pay for extra rice? Why made it so complicated?

For the price, the portion was underwhelming, and the experience was frustrating. As someone who has been here many times, I expected better. To make things worse, the Mala Xiang Guo from the restaurant across the street is better tasting, with bigger portions, and much better service. Save yourself the trouble and just go there instead.

The Brooklyn Spicy Hotpot is the same price and double the portion. A piece of meat costs 4 yuan and there are four slices of meat in it!

The food and service were great! The servers were so attentive and even ran outside and brought something we had accidentally left inside. The coconut soup was also so unique and tasty. Definitely recommend trying it!

2024.02 a very relaxing a la carte hot pot. Starting with coconut chicken soup. Then mala dish. Hot pot. Marinade beef is better than fatty beef. Don’t forget to order their coconut dessert. Really good. Their dragon fruit drink also good. Hot pot meat are fresh. Reasonable portions. The only point they lost is price.

Hi, honest (and super critical) reviewer here! I’ve been anticipating going to this place in a long time even though my family came here first before me— This place is a hot pot place and no, it’s not all you can eat but the prices are reasonable and worth it even though I’m used to having hotpot with AYCE prices! I’ll tell you why!Pros:- Everything is fresh! From the chicken, to their vegetables, to their various meats and seafood— this is the freshest you can get for hot pot, the quality doesn’t disappoint!- All of the red meat and chicken are very tender! Easy to eat!- The broth is amazing compared to other hotpot places! Since their ingredients are way more fresh, and ALWAYS fresh, there is less more of that bacterial gunk that you find in artificial hotpot broths that other hot pot restaurants typically have!- Although the don’t have many staff members, they are extremely attentive to your needs including their manager! They will gladly refill your hotpot broth any time and make sure to give you napkins without you asking!- The broth only takes 6 minutes to boil up! (according to a waitress)- Very sanitary!- Baby and kid friendly environment, I saw two babies with suitable high chairs so this is a “don’t worry” for parents!- Also wheel chair friendly!- Creative drinks and alcohol are great!Cons:- Since their specialty is hotpot, they are a little off in the appetizer section, it’s mostly fried food (and small portions) but they are okay so if you have picky eaters in the family that aren’t open to trying hotpot, it’s not bad. But nevertheless, overall rating is still 5 stars!Other comments:- [ ] For a new hot pot place, they pretty munched topped in quality and service than other hot pot places ?

Lively atmosphere, delicious and fresh ingredients, love this place so much. It’s great for family and friends, also a nice date spot. The hotpot soup bases are unique and flavorful. Definitely worth coming more than once.
