One of the smaller diners I've been but there is the feeling of actually eating at someone's house. The food here is on point. The portion sizes are large and the price is similar to other diners. Service is attentive and quick. The only downside is no parking lot. But there is street parking.

My husband and I finished a dr's appointment and found this place while driving home. As soon as we enter we saw so much clutter I told my husband I don't know if I want to eat here.Let me start by saying the food was delicious and the waiter was very friendly and professional.The only thing about this diner is the amount of dirt everywhere, salt and pepper were almost finished and so dirty, no sugar either, and the tables were scratched and you can see the dirty wood, I can't imagine the amount of germs in that table, it was sticky and it's hard to sit and enjoy a meal while looking at a dirty fan and super dirty vent. Then I went to the bathroom and the toilet paper was on the floor and it was wet with urine, the smell was horrible and the sink had pubic hairs, yes multiple curls. Just gross ??If the manager/owner is reading this please take a few minutes and fix the toilet paper holder, it takes a few minutes and clean that vent and fans because all that dust goes into the food. The food and service is great but unfortunately I would not be coming back to Staten Island Diner because of the dirtiness. If that's the front of the house I can't imagine the back of the house. How dirty is that grill where they cook meats and pancakes?I almost vomited in the bathroom, it's so ? gross ?.Please do better, that's how people get sick and I can't believe the health department doesn't get call for dirtiness.

Service was incredible, thanks to David. For food I got strawberry milkshake which looked very pretty, 4/5 a little too sweet. Pastrami sandwich is incredible and the curly fries with chipotle sauce. Very comfy spot with music and good food, definitely recommend it

Stopped in for egg and cheese on a roll with coffee. Excellent tasting,fresh roll.
They used to be my go to for take out and eat in. They have gone down in the last two years. The take out orders are wrong 60% of the time and cold. The quality of the food and presentation make it not appetizing. The chef or cook should know the difference between scrambled and fried eggs. Sorry for the review, I really did like your business, too bad it's about the money now and not service or quality.

The food selection is large. The menu is four pages front and back. They have 4 different mimosa all for $12. I've been here before and my food was good. This review was based on a new years 1pm sit down. I sat down and waited for my food for 20 minutes. I had to ask for utensils. The place was very busy, so I understood. The waitress brought my mimosa early so that was good. The waiter brought my waffles w/o the Nutella and bananas, so I asked them to please take it back and return what I requested. My waiter was very nice. The waiter brought out burnt bacon, I asked that they take it back and bring out bacon that wasn't burnt. My turkey sausage tasted over cooked. The Nutella waffle and bananas were soo good. Today experience was different then my other experience at this spot but I would give it another chance. They were busy.

Very disappointed yesterday. Not sure if they are under new ownership or a new cook? Hoping this was a one off!! We love this place. The scrambled eggs were thrown together on a small plate, bacon was two tiny shriveled up strips that broke apart (def sitting for hours), the toast never came and the kid serving definitely didn't want to be there. Needed a steak knife to cut the chorizo (very tuff). No coffee refills or water... again hoping this was just a one off ($18 dollar dish)...

Food was not good today. Dont know what happened. Service was not great and mood/ambiance was off. Definitely disappointed. I always order Eggs LA LA they were terrible swimming in something that looked like Hollandaise Sauce . And my husband had hungry man bfast. Lol It had 2 eggs and 2 small pieces of bacon. Lol dude change the name!! No one came with water, and no one came to offer coffee refill. Definitely an off day.
