permanently closed ! doors are locked ! i made reservations over the weekend, showed up today @ 7pm for dinner and the doors are locked, lights are out, with a note on the door. they didn't even have the decency to call me back to let me know they were closed. good riddance !

Tuna tartare was great, Grilled Octopus was great. Cream Spinach side was too watery and tasteless. Cowboy steak... I find it hard to believe that was 28 days dry aged. It was pretty much just meat. Needed sauce that it comes with to justify. I know $90 for a cowboy steak isn't much money, but it just wasn't good. Cross the bridge into Bay Ridge and visit CEBU. They have an amazing Tomahawk steak for the same price or go to Mike's Rodizio on Staten Island for amazing meat cuts.

Tonight was my first time at Surf and i met a wonderful bartender named Eddie. He was extremely patient and attentive with helping me select a great meal. The customer service was amazing and i am going to recommend Surf to my co workers.

Large bar on the first floor with dining room on the second floor that has great views. We just had cocktails, but the menu looked appealing. Inside URBY.

Went to Surf for the first time today for a work Christmas party. We had a beautiful table on the second floor with a breath taking view of the city skyline! Great service and great ambiance. There definitely on the pricey side but worth every dollar!

The food is terrific and priced within expectations. The ambience is above average, The beams of wood are saved from old Structures, you can see the hand notching. The owner, who I had the pleasure of meeting, his name is Jay. He would be glad to fill you in on all the information about the design of his restaurant. He also has other eateries in that location as well as off of Staten Island.

Fantastic food prepared perfectly. That kind of comment doesn't flow easy from me! Great views of the city and the Verrazano Bridge. Atmosphere was warm trending and comfortable. Service was attentive but not hovering. Definitely recommend!

Went for brunch this past weekend, from beginning to end, the meal was superb. We started with great coffee and tasty mimosas made with freshly squeezed orange juice. For starters, our party ordered the green salad, burrata, and octopus salad - all were delicious. Our entrees were the B.E.C. Sandwich and the omelette, everyone loved their dishes. We squeezed in the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert and were so glad we did, it was so light yet flavorful.

I was always very critical of this place because I thought people would go bc of the scene and thought the prices were to high and restaurant was overrated. Actually made reservations twice only to cancel both time. But to my suprise this place is excellent. I had the pork chop and it was one of the best I've ever had. The view just added to the amazing dinner I had.

WOW! A short visit from Virginia, and I found the best restaurant in town. Gelica was the best! The Filet was amazing, and the Mac and Cheese blew me away. I wish I had the recipe for the steak sauce provided with my filet. Great beer selections, and the staff are so friendly and professional.

Great views, decent bar food. Only problem is that it's in an area that seems pretty shady and isolated.
