The staff is super attentive, and there is more than enough space in the restaurant even when it got packed towards the end of our meal. The food was absolutely amazing (be sure to get the sweet potato fritters) and the cocktail menu has something for everyone! I would definitely recommend this place.

I came here for lunch one day and had to come back for dinner. Such a cool concept and atmosphere. All the old school books with the hidden bathroom doorway. The steak was so good I was thinking about it for days afterwards. Super crispy chicken with risotto was also excellent. Topped it off with a carrot cake which hit the spot. I'll be coming back for sure.
One of my favorite restaurants on the island. Definitely a hidden gem. Kinda has a NYC vibe inside. Been there 3x and all the food I've had was great. I recommend the short beef ribs over cavatelli! So good.

My girlfriend Mary and I celebrated her birthday at The Basement, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was truly phenomenal and the service was excellent—warm, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. The atmosphere made the night feel special, and everything we ordered exceeded expectations. I recommend making a reservation and giving yourself a little extra time for parking in the area. You really need to go—this restaurant is exceptional.

This is the best restaurant in St. George. I always enjoy eating here. I've brought several non-Staten Island, friends here who agree. They have a wonderful price fixed dinner during the week. We had mussels, a Caesar salad, filet mignon, and steak frites. Everything was delicious! The service is good and the restaurant is lovely.
