I’m treated differently here when I look white passing (straight hair) vs when I look Latina (curly hair, earrings) - Treated differently enough that my friends noticed and I started putting two and two together. Drinks are good, food is delicious but the vibes are not it.

Came here on a Friday night for some late-night drinks and had an awesome experience. The service was amazing—the bartenders were great and even made a custom vesper drink based on my preferences off the menu. Prices were decent, and the environment and ambiance were perfect for a group of friends or a date night. I’ll definitely be returning!

The bar had a decent vibe and the environment was enjoyable, but I had a serious issue that ruined the experience. My wallet went missing while I was there, and when I asked staff to review the CCTV, they suddenly “found” it and blamed two blonde girls - who, to be clear, were never even at the bar. The whole situation felt sketchy and dishonest, especially from the bartender. Be cautious if you go.

Went for the first time this morning around 2am. I have to say this might be my new favorite spot. Service was excellent the drinks were good and reasonable priced. For food I got one of the cheese platters. I'm a lover of cheese and have done plenty of cheese tasting. There's was very good for the price. My only con is it was very very dark. While I did like it alot because of my bad eye sight it was hard to see the menu. But then comes the service. When the bar tender realized I was having a bit of trouble seeing he helped me out and even brought over a candle so I can see a little better. I will definitely be going back. I wasn't a fan of the music to be honest because I didn't feel it fit the atmosphere. For such a dimly lit laid back place the music should be soft and relaxing

Since my last review I think the bar has improved significantly and it’s now my go-to spot on Staten Island. The drinks are good, which remains from original review, and the food as well. In regard to the service, all the staff working there now are really nice, especially Meg, Phoebe, and Samir. 🙂
The sandwich is the best i ever had. Drinks are on point too, overall a very good experience

I recently started going to The Coupe with a friend of mine who recommended it. It feels like I'm in midtown Manhattan when I go.. it's like a slice of Manhattan and Staten Island. The staff really works to provide a totally different environment than what you normally encounter in Staten Island. I'm writing this review because I wanted to express how much of a great time I've had when I go. Specifically one night I ordered something that I usually order, and this one night it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I didn't mean to complain, but I told the bartender that I was disappointed in what I received. Roy graciously took care of me, and promised me a better plate next time I entered. He apologized and asked me to reach out to him the next time I was coming so that he could be aware and make sure that I was taken care of. When I arrived he did just that and the plate I received was stellar. It's more the way that everyone there cared about my dissatisfaction and worked on that day and then the following visit to ensure that I was satisfied and serviced well. I feel like the measure of customer service is greater when you encounter an issue with a proprietor and result that issue with care. I was very satisfied, and I'm actually on my way there for another great night at The Coupe.
