Great food and service. The dining room is very quaint and physically comfortable. Sadly, the large window between the barroom and dining room really detracts from the experience. The food is too delicious to be served in a tee-shirt atmosphere.

Just had my grandson's birthday party here. The food servers (Karen and Paul) were fantastic! They were so kind and helpful. They went over and above to make our party a great success. The food was excellent. I highly recommend The Local for a stress free and wonderful party.

Have always enjoyed coming here over the years.Todays experience was no different except for when the bill came. A very modest lunch turned out to be more than expected. Either the menu prices need to be updated or I was overcharged. A Ceasar salad is listed as $12, add chicken for $5. Math tells be that comes to $17. Was charged $19. A single espresso, which wasn't displayed on the lunch menu came to $6. Nowhere on the island have I ever paid $6 for a single espresso . Little things like this are enough to get a customer upset. It will be a long time before I come back, if I come back.

This was the 4th time I've been to The Local and it's always great. This area was lacking an excellent American casual/fancy restaurant and it's become our go to place. Aptly named with photos of bygone North Shore landmarks on the walls. Always excellent service and a menu that should suit everyone. The appetizers are plentiful and all delicious!

Local bar / Restaurant just like the name. It has a happy hour crowd from the neighborhood. If there is a local sports game on TV, It gets a bit lively and loud. Overall great neighborhood place.

We live near The Local, but this was our first time there. We’ll be going back. The food (a very fine variety to choose from) was delicious, freshly prepared, and definitely made to order. The service, especially Frank our server, was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. The place itself is attractive, spacious, and a calm place to enjoy a meal. It’s couple friendly, kid friendly, family friendly, and available for larger gatherings. This is a great part of our community and a great place to eat in Staten Island.
