Just had my grandson's birthday party here. The food servers (Karen and Paul) were fantastic! They were so kind and helpful. They went over and above to make our party a great success. The food was excellent. I highly recommend The Local for a stress free and wonderful party.
Have always enjoyed coming here over the years.Todays experience was no different except for when the bill came. A very modest lunch turned out to be more than expected. Either the menu prices need to be updated or I was overcharged. A Ceasar salad is listed as $12, add chicken for $5. Math tells be that comes to $17. Was charged $19. A single espresso, which wasn't displayed on the lunch menu came to $6. Nowhere on the island have I ever paid $6 for a single espresso ....

The dining room is very quaint and physically comfortable.
Sadly, the large window between the barroom and dining room really detracts from the experience. The food is too delicious to be served in a tee-shirt atmosphere.
