The place is really cool exactly how I imagined a true American pub! 🍺 When I first walked in, the bartender and waitress thought I was picking up a to-go order 😂 but once I told them I was there to eat, the waitress immediately apologized and welcomed me to sit down.

The service was just what I was hoping for she was super polite, but also friendly and down-to-earth, which I really liked. The food was amazing too that Portobello sandwich was on another level!

This is now officially my favorite spot for lunch on Staten Island. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants good food and a real pub vibe.

I really hate to do this review but
Tonight has to be one of the worst meals I’ve ever had
Staten Island is known for many things-most not so good….but good food yes
A complete mess
The soup was disgusting-French onion tasted like warm dish water. The salad was missing most ingredients due to ‘being out’ of items-
The sweet potato fries were raw and the tatie tots were burnt- not overly fried since they were clearly baked…also for the price why is everything all a la carte????
The sandwiches were small and disgusting - nacho cheese from the can is the hot seller apparently
Roast beef - ‘where’s the beef’- remember the commercial? No one in the place yet they couldn’t even make the meal properly
A complete mess and a miss all around.
We had such high hopes for this spot- sadly a never again type of place

We ate at the Point Tavern this past Saturday night after reading other reviews. We were seated promptly. Ordered two appetizers; hush puppies & street corn shrimp. The bang bang sauce was very tasty on everything. I loved that they were served on cast iron pans (nice touch). Then came out roast beef sandwiches, one with a pretzel bun, other the ciabatta. OMG. The best, savory, melt in your mouth flavor bomb roast beef we have ever had. We will definitely be going back!!!

I stopped by for lunch a few days ago and had the Meatloaf dinner. IT WAS GREAT!!! Mike the bartender was a pleasure and treated me like I was a regular, speaking of regulars, there were a few of them there and they also treated me very nicely. It's has that old neighborhood tavern feel, yet excellent food. I'll be back for sure, if you're tired of the same old lunch spots, and menu's then this should be you're next stop.

It's a tavern with a small dining room attached. But, the service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the roast beef platter, and the food was good, I just wish there was a little more of it. My only criticism is that I wish the gravy was a thicker. But, that's my personal preference. It won't stop me from going again, nor should it stop you.
