Ungaro Coal Fired Pizza Cafe

Always always always delicious!!! Each time I try something new, it becomes a favorite. The portions are a a good size and yummy. The owners and staff are so nice. This place is a MUST!

The food is Always delicious. The owners are welcoming and the staff always friend and accommodating. I love everything about Ungaros. It’s a great family place.

I ordered takeout. Ordered online. Food was ready when I got there (15mins). The 6 slice Sicilian coal fired pie was great. I also had a Chicken Parm hero. Loved it.

I was here yesterday for the first time with a party of four. The first thing that caught my attention was that their menu is on an iPad with a pic of every menu item. Everything looked delicious. We ordered fried risotto balls, meatballs, eggplant parm, lots of white sangria, and two pizzas. This is easily among the best pizza I've ever had. The apps were amazing as well. Dominick and Kim, the owners, were extremely pleasant and very present in the nicest way. They even gave us a 2nd pitcher of white sangria on the house. We'll definitely be back and I'd encourage anyone reading this to check them out.

This place is a gem.The food ,the service everything is excellent...They even make a coal oven apple dessert,a must if you could squeeze it in .

The owners Dominic and his wife Kim are the sweetest people. Ungaro’s food is unbelievable delicious. From the appetizers to the different kinds of pizza to their entrees everything was amazing. Top notch friendly service and reasonable prices. We all loved everything and can’t wait to go back again. If you have not gone there yet, you should get there soon because you don’t know what you’re missing. Thanks for a great dinner and a great night.

The pizza was cooked perfectly. We ordered the tri color thin crust square and we absolutely devoured it. The corners had the perfect char and tastiest crisp to it. All 3 sauces were very good and perfectly seasoned with the right amount of cheese and the basil was the perfect addition to this perfect pizza. My wife had 3 slices and she can usually only eat about 1.5 slices. I would rate it like an 8.9 . Excellent pizza !

Highly highly HIGHLY recommend! I’ve been on Staten Island for over 30+ years (specifically in this area) and am just coming across this place!

I spoke with Yani on the phone and she is LOVELY; met Kim and her husband at the counter during pick up alongside the team taking care of the food and oven— and— I am very impressed! What a great find.

We ordered the Clam Oreganata Pie and half Eggplant Parm with Ricotta / Sausage and Mushroom. Chefs kiss! Very good, great quality, ricotta is creamy.. very happy overall.

Total was higher than I anticipated yet definitely worth the treat.

Kim and Dom were amazing! We came with a group of 14 ladies on Sunday just as they opened and they treated us like royalty!

This place is absolutely phenomenal! My boyfriend and I travelled from Canada to Staten Island, where we discovered this beautiful family ran establishment. Together, we shared a meatball panini sandwich and a cherry tomato/burrata cheese pizza! By far the best pizza and meatball sandwich we ever tasted! Everyone was so pleasant to deal with, especially our lovely, beautiful server, Kim! Anyone reading this, you better make sure to check this place out!
