Ungaro Coal Fired Pizza Cafe

The pizza was cooked perfectly. We ordered the tri color thin crust square and we absolutely devoured it. The corners had the perfect char and tastiest crisp to it. All 3 sauces were very good and perfectly seasoned with the right amount of cheese and the basil was the perfect addition to this perfect pizza. My wife had 3 slices and she can usually only eat about 1.5 slices. I would rate it like an 8.9 . Excellent pizza !

Highly highly HIGHLY recommend! I’ve been on Staten Island for over 30+ years (specifically in this area) and am just coming across this place!

I spoke with Yani on the phone and she is LOVELY; met Kim and her husband at the counter during pick up alongside the team taking care of the food and oven— and— I am very impressed! What a great find.

We ordered the Clam Oreganata Pie and half Eggplant Parm with Ricotta / Sausage and Mushroom. Chefs kiss! Very good, great quality, ricotta is creamy.. very happy overall.

Total was higher than I anticipated yet definitely worth the treat.

This place is absolutely phenomenal! My boyfriend and I travelled from Canada to Staten Island, where we discovered this beautiful family ran establishment. Together, we shared a meatball panini sandwich and a cherry tomato/burrata cheese pizza! By far the best pizza and meatball sandwich we ever tasted! Everyone was so pleasant to deal with, especially our lovely, beautiful server, Kim! Anyone reading this, you better make sure to check this place out!

EXCELLENT! Party of 8 got a wide range of appy’s, entree, dessert. Everybody very happy! The whipped ricotta on crostina, rice balls, mozz en carrozza all extraordinary. The four corner pizza …perfect. Thin crust with four different toppings. Crispy, full of flavor. Pasta dishes all great. I had the fusilli with pesto, sun dried tomato, almonds, breadcrumbs. Soo good. Dessert Nutella pizza, apple pie pizza. We were so full but managed to eat that too. Great service. Sit down area very small so reserve! Bravo. Quite reasonable for what we got!

This is by far the best food I have ever had on the Island. Their calamari, pasta (penne vodka was my favorite), pizza…. All tasted amazing. I will definitely be coming back to this place. Invite your whole family, that way you can order family size meals and get a taste of EVERYTHING.

Typically we love Ungaro. A small hidden gem. It was my son’s birthday & all he wanted was to order from Ungaro. I spent $250 only to receive ice cold food. I placed the order online through Ungaro’s website at 1pm for a 5:30 delivery. The food arrived after 5:30. No big deal. The delivery guy took the food from the back seat of his car, just like that. No bag to keep the food hot. Not only was it not hot again it was ice cold. As if they delivered it at 1 and we didn’t eat it until 6.
It’s a shame because their food is actually really good. I was bragging about it to my guests in anticipation of its arrival only to be let down and extremely disappointed. They were bummed and unfortunately not I’ll never order from Ungaro again.

No need to go off the island for authentic Brick oven pizza. This is the real NY thin slice pies. And the food is amazing with the marinara sauce....it's about the sauce.
It's a small cozy restaurant with authentic NY pizza and food. The service is just remarkable to attention.
Tables fill up quick, make reservations.
