Ordered lunch from this place while at work down the block. After an hour I called this place 6x, the phone either rang and rang or the line was busy. Finally a coworker got through and they said the order went out awhile ago, ok weird. Then we get a call from the delivery person who says they went to my billing address on the other side of the island. WTF?!?!??? 2 hours later food gets here (cold) delivery guy takes $20 off, thank you. So the food is all labeled, I grab my quesadilla clearly labeled "Chicken" I start to eat it and nope it's ground beef. Unfortunately I can't eat beef due to stomach issues. So not only was my lunch ruined but my whole day is ruined. Will never order from here again.

This place is amazing! Food tastes great and service is fantastic! I was happy to see that the new owner fixed up the place and has it running like a well-oiled machine! He was there and present for the customers and very kind and I found out he took it over three months ago. We ordered a steak burrito, pork burrito and chips. The food is full of flavor and the value for your money is way better than you would find at chipotle. Definitely will go back!

Nothing authentic about this spot. Rip-off prices with small portions. I'll stick to the legit spots.

I give it 2 stars because the inside decor is nice but the food was bad. I would choose chipotle or Qdoba over this place any day. I really had high hopes for this place but it was just bad. Cons: pork carnitas were so salty I couldn't even eat it I know pork is salty but this was just insane Rice was old it was so crunchy it was sticking to my teeth. Remind you I went at 11:30 so that rice was probably old from the day before and reheated Cheese was definitely store bought like packaged shredded cheese tasted like plastic bag pros:nice ppl. If you want authentic Mexican food don't go

Wanted to try this place for awhile as I used to frequent Venga. Glad we did was just as good. I love the pork carnitas. No need to go all the way to Chipolte.

My children love this place! Always fresh, quick and healthy! Always clean and friendly. Burritos are huge! Tastes home made for sure.

Posted Under VENGA in error reposting here I have been eating here since it opened. It's always fresh delicious hot and served by the sweetest people. Anyone who compares this neighborhood gem to a fast food chain (chipotle, etc.)cannot be trusted as they have no taste buds. I grew up with a mom who is a fantastic cook so when I eat at a restaurant I expect wholesome goodness not salty processed crap. The food here is made fresh throughout the day and the guacamole etc. is excellent. The portions are generous and the place is spotless. This is a mom pop place which are becoming rare these days. So forget the pizza, McDonald's and by all means no food trucks (uggghhhh) and try their tacos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, etc. Your taste buds and tummy will thank you and you will become addicted and make this place a regular eatery as I have.

I went here one night and arrived about 20 minutes before closing. The door was already locked. When you have young kids working in an establishment you have to mentor them in customer service. Now I get why there are so many negative reviews about this place. Needless to say, I will not attempt to dine here again. There are so many authentic places in the area and on the North Shore. I will go where the people want the business.

This is hard for me...I've been coming to "The Burrito Spot" since it was Venga, so I've been going for about 7 years. Years ago it was amazing and I would give it 5 stars, recently though it's a different story. Every single time I've been there recently they always say the same thing, "We just ran out of guac and we aren't making anymore today." That would be fine if it was a half hour to an hour before closing, but oftentimes I'll go 3 hours before they close and they'll say the same thing. You're a burrito place...how can you run out of guac 3 hours before closing and not make anymore? Usually, I stay and still order, but today I just walked out, taking 2 other customers with me. If they keep up like this, I'm convinced that it's only a matter of time until "The Burrito Stop" closes down. The big chains like Moes and Chipotle aren't my first choice, but that's where most people are going to go now because at least they always have guacamole and are consistent. It's a true shame and it'll be a loss for the Island if they close down, but it'll only be their own fault.

Okay so this was my first time here, and i got to say I was a little disappointed when i walked in an hour before closing and they told me no more steak or pork.( i dont like chicken much) BUT for someone who isnt a big fan of chicken the chicken tacos were sooo good! I got the chips and guac which was pretty good too ! Not expensive and good food ! Would defiantly visit again!

My taco had 2 shreds of chicken and 5 hanfulls of cheese while my other taco had the exact opposite. The chips were way too salty and stale. Plus it's super expensive.

Customer service was ok. Love the burrito bowls. Tonight however not as good of an experience as the other times I had went.
