Before going there to eat, I actually didn’t have any expectations for the restaurants on the island, but I ended up being slapped in the face. The food at Yaya is far better than expected, even better than some similar restaurants on Eighth Avenue and Manhattan. Will go again next time.

They have the meat hanging there at whatever the room temperature is and my experience in food service I know that it should be kept hot at night less than 140 degrees in order for bacteria to not grow on it I would not buy anything there

Excellent tasty foods. There are some items you can order that is not on the menu such as beef chow fun. Beef chow fun was delicious. They should add it to their menu.

In their receipt, there is an option of "custom tip" and when I chose that, the manager/owner asked us why we didn't tip 15%. To cut the long story short, since she harassed us, I ended up tipping 15%. What is the purpose of custom tip if they're going to harassed those people that wants to tip less than 15%? I am not disgusted with the food but with their people instead. Shame on them.

I will never eat their again. I am not recommending it.

Ya Ya Roasted is a fairly recent Chinese restaurant that opened on Hylan Boulevard. It’s a restaurant mainly focused on roasted meat, rice dishes, and noodle soup, yet it also offers Shanghai soup dumplings and (my favorite) rice pots. It’s a good variety, and I have to say it’s pretty delicious.

Particularly, the potstickers are prepared in a unique shape. It’s fried and crispy just right. The rice pots are piping hot, and I love their sauce when poured into the sizzling pot (very well done)! The noodle soups are also pretty good when it comes to portion, taste, and noodles.

Overall, a decent restaurant that should deserve more attention. It has a nice dining area, and the staff is welcoming. Honestly, there hasn’t been any good Chinese restaurants on the island lately, so Ya Ya Roasted is a great addition!

We dined in (too busy eating & didn't take any pictures) and also picked up the whole roasted baby pork. All of their roasted items are excellent, including my favorite roasted duck. We can't wait to go back and try their clay pot rice items.

Finally they offered different kinds of fried noodles. Much better food and service experience than the last time. The French fries are crunchy. I tried the Silver Needle Fried Noodles today and it was pretty good, not salty but not bland, just right and I didn’t need to drink too much water after eating. The French fries are quite crispy and most importantly, not greasy! After eating, there wasn't a lot of oil left on the paper pad.

Today is the first time I went to buy a lunch box. It's OK. The barbecued pork and chicken are very good and the price is OK. But the rice is cold and only a little warm. It would be better if the uncle who cooks the pork can wear a mask, because the hygiene can improve your store. Score, (well decorated, clean)

Was excited to check this place out after seeing the menu. Glad I had dined in to experience everything fresh. Really happy to have a place with fresh homemade, delicious soup dumplings! The Taiwanese sausages were crispy, fatty, and sweet in the best ways. The hot soy milk tasted homemade and I have only ever had store bought soy milk before so it tasted creamier and the flavored more pronounced so I think it was homemade. Excited to go back and try more food, especially their roast pig, congee, meats and noodles. Everything tasted fresh. The atmosphere was nice, tables were spaced out. The waiter was friendly and offered to heat up my soy milk when there was only cold soy milk left. Will definitely be ordering again or dining again. If you’re a fan of this cuisine- check it out. They know what they’re doing.

Yaya Roasted Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its standout dish, the pork congee and many soup dumplings. The congee is rich and flavorful, featuring tender pieces of pork that meld perfectly with the creamy rice. The comforting warmth and subtle spices make it a perfect dish for any time of day. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service add to the overall charm of the restaurant. Highly recommended for congee lovers!
